I was curious how the roster has changed as we enter the second year of CNS at the helm. I know we've had several changes and I can't pull together the full list myself. Please add those I've missed or correct me if these are inaccurate.

(While this thread may go a different direction, secretly this is a "how much room do we have for the '08 recruiting class" thread. Yes, I know CNS has things well in hand and I'm not concerned. A Day just made me loose my mind.)

Left:
T. Coger
A. Davis

Medical:
Cody Davis

Potential Medical:
Z. Knight
C. Lett

Doghouse:
P. Hall

You can add J Jones to the list of transfers, and it isn't potential Med. on Lett he is no longer on the team. Also,a big DT left the team due to a heat related illness.

An updated, more accurate list:

Medical Scholarship

Tyrone Prothro (complications stemming from broken left leg)
Jake Jones (re-occurring leg injuries)
Byron Walton (heat-related issues)
Aaron McDaniel (knee injury against Arkansas 2006)
Cody Davis (re-occurring shoulder injuries)
B.J. Stabler (re-occurring knee injuries)
Chris Lett (complications from brittle diabetes)

Potential Medical Scholarship

Zeke Knight (cardiovascular problem of some sort)
Perhaps more, don't know yet, we'll see probably in August

Transferred

Zach Schreiber (left after WCU game, now at Louisiana Tech)
Andy Davis ("personal issues," now at Samford)
Alex Stadler (now at Liberty)
Jimmy Barnes (now at Weber State)

Left Team

Tremayne Coger ("personal issues," left team, future status currently unknown)

Doghouse

Prince Hall (only God, Hall, and Saban really know what happened)

Arrested & Dismissed

Jeremy Elder (armed robbery)

That officially makes 13 guys who have bitten the dust thus far under Saban, and that number couple possibly grow depending on what happens with Zeke Knight and Prince Hall, plus any other casualty this summer.

i'm not god, hall, or saban but i as well as a lot other insiders know EXACTLY why prince hall is in the doghouse.
andy davis transferred to samford (his brother is on the team as while)
i think schreiber landed at la tech
barnes to weber state
stadler to liberty

You guys are right, a few omissions, and they have been updated. All corrections have been made to the earlier list.

Andy Davis is listed on the Samford roster, so that is correct.

Zach Schreiber has indeed transferred to Louisiana Tech. I could not find any news stories regarding his transfer, but his name is listed on the official 2008 Louisiana Tech spring roster.

And as for Prince Hall, other insiders may not EXACTLY why Prince Hall is in the doghouse, but we're not allowed to speculate or post unconfirmed rumors on here, so until anything becomes official, for the intents and purposes with this board, only those three know.

Hmm, insider, sounds like a good gig. How does one qualify for this honorarium. I hope it doesn't require four figures. I'm sure it doesn't as Fran has been in the wind for many moons................So, since you brought it up, Why EXACTLY?

At A-Day Saban made reference to Hall's priorities. He said that Hall would rejoin the team when he could put the team first. CNS seemed to indicate there was a straw that broke the camels back around a request for Hall to shave his beard and he wouldn't.

I KNOW that this isn't the only thing and CNS pointed out that it was symptomatic.... but that should give you an idea.

I'm certainly not an insider, but from the outside looking in, it sounds like a fight over control. Saban saying "My way or the highway," and Hall saying, "Nobody tells me what to do."

Hmmmm....who do you think wins that one?
