Game Thread: Super Bowl LVI: Cincinnati Bengals vs LA Rams (630 EST Kickoff)

I guess since I'm the one been doing this folks been waiting on me.

A little bit of new blood this year and more so than folks realize. This is only the THIRD Super Bowl since the 2001 NFL season that does NOT have Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, or Ben Roethligsberger in the game, the others both involving the 49ers (47 and 54). An amusing coincidence also is not only are the Rams only the 2nd team with a chance to win the game on their home field (right after the Bucs did it later year), they are actually the VISITING team.

It figures to be a tale of two quarterbacks, one a guy who only two years ago won a college football national championship and the Heisman and is hoping to become the third man to complete the triumvirate (all of them coincidentally named Joe), and the other a career hard luck case late in his career brought over in a trade that has seen him blossom, Matthew Stafford.

It is an all-SEC quarterback Super Bowl.

Having a smallish SB party at our house tonight. We got 6 inches of new snow last night - just stopped snowing. I am tired of winter. Ready for spring.

Local place here makes a Vegetarian pizza that's better than any I've ever had.......so that's what it would be. The wings would be the non-breaded spicy ones from Publix. Tougher choice than who to pull for in the game!
