Sweet and Spicy Wings

1lb or so of wings - drums and flats
1 cup ketchup1/3 cup cider vinegar
1/4 cup molasses
1/4 cup honey
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp fresh cracked pepper
1/4 tsp cayenne
1/4 tsp onion powder
Peanut Oil for frying


Pat wings very dry

Mix all ingredients except peanut oil in medium pan, bring to a simmer and let it simmer away for 20 minutes.

Add oil to deep fryer or dutch oven, heat to 375 °

In small batches, fry wings till crisp, toss in sauce, serve at once

Notes - If possible, use peanut oil - more expensive but it fries cleaner and better
Double the recipe if you want extra sauce for dipping
Be sure to dry the wings - will help get a more crispy exterior and reduce chances of painful splatter when you drop them
