"I love the atmosphere at LSU and I feel at home there," Tyler Edwards said. "I've loved them for a long time and I've got LSU stuff all over my room because of my brother (former LSU tight end Eric Edwards). It's just an awesome place...My brother says that I should take my visits and see where I fit in best He doesn't think I should rush into it..."

If anyone can beat out LSU on Tyler I truly believe it is Alabama. CNS is recruiting him very hard. I have this info from a source close to his high school
program.

There is no chance he will be going anywhere besides LSU and I don't blame him. It would be like me not going to bama if i was offered a scholarship, which there would be no chance of.

Don't be so sure. I mentioned my source and I am not just talking about some fan of hi high school. He talks to Tyler everyday and he reallllly likes Bama.

Eric Edwards is my Aunt's nephew by marriage and the whole Edwards clan is from my home town. I can say with almost 100% confidence that there is no chance Bama gets him even if Saban comes and dances a jig for him. He is completly ate up with LSU and would probably get disowned if he commited to Bama with Saban as a HC.

Not that what has been stated is not the case, but there is a quote from a yahoo article on him about Alabama. The reporter asks him about CNS and 'Bama and his response his that he is thinking hard about them, and even went out and purchased some 'Bama flipflops. Seems funny for a kid ate up with LSU.

Believe me, he is. He may toss out that he is interested in Bama because he has a coaching superstar like Coach Saban calling him, but his family is 100% LSU. Heck, Eric played for them. I think he is giving out pro-Bama responses because Eric is telling him to go through the drill, enjoy the process, and not make anybody upset yet. It helps to have an older brother that has been there and done that already.

I think the only outside chance Bama has is whether he wants to go against the status quo of the typical Monroe big-time athlete and play for Bama because it would be unexpected and shocking. Teenagers are pretty good at doing stuff like that.

Yeah, wouldn't that be horrible if instead of living your life based on what your family did you actually made decisions based on what YOU wanted to do?

I agree with you. I would love to see him in Crimson next year but like I have already said, I think it's a legacy thing. I guess I would compare the situation to the that of the Britt family out of Cullman. Did anybody really think Taylor or Justin would go anywhere but Bama?
