The kid is the best competitor I've ever seen. Unless those of you who want him to "man up" are man enough to tell him that to his face, why don't you keep the thoughts to yourself.

This is a great, great night for the University of Alabama. In celebrating it, let's try to act like it's not our first, nor our last.
 
Wow... I didn't expect to get blasted for this thread. I wasn't trying to mock him. I just know that he cries when he loses, and I'm proud we made him do it. I think he is one of the best on and off the field. His comments after the game made me proud. I've enjoyed watching him play over the past few years, and I kinda hate to see him go.

I'm one of those who said I wanted to see Bama make Tebow cry. Now, I'm kinda ashamed of it. He's one of the good guys.
 
I really did feel bad for him when they showed him crying. He's an all around guy. Who else do you know that has thrown up on national television as well as cry your eyes out on national television too. His entire life has been viewed by millions for four years now. He's never tried to hide his love for God and he has a lot of character. He does have passion for the game and you can't fault him for that. He's been the best thing Florida's had for four years and rightly so. If we had him we would love him just as much or more than Florida does.

I don't think this was "a ballgame." It was for the SEC championship and the right to play for the national championship. For Tebow and Florida is was a game to play for the opportunity to repeat as the national champions whcih is the goal their entire team has been working toward since last spring, all summer and this season. The team fell short of their goal and he was hurting. :smile:

The kid is as great of a competitor as I have ever seen. This is not intented as a flame, but just because you would not react this way is no reason to criticise Tebow. Anybody that's ever watched him play should no he plays with great emotion. :smile:

For those who are knocking Tebow for crying, flame the camera man who is shoving a camera in his face. I think that's who you should have a problem with. :smile:
 
Look on the bright side, he got some attention through those tears. I am very curious how he will adapt in the NFL.

I predict him as either "the man" of a team or has a very short career.

Wait a second. I'll bet over half the people on this board have faced more adversity than Tebow ever has.
 
I think one of his personality traits is that of an "emotional" person. Not sure the football field is the best play to display it ... but, he's one heck of a great QB and an even better individual. I wish him nothing but the very best in the future.
 
Tebow is very religious and this thread will wind out of control just on that alone. Best to close imo.

You called for him to cry at games end, and you are now scolding others? I certainly never said that, nor did others that I am aware of. You might be alone. Glad you recognized your mistake for acting like an auby, as you say.

Tebow is the best. I wish him the best in life, and I am sure he will not need any help. He is awesome.

I agree. I thought he showed incredible class in his post-game interview. It must have been difficult to have a microphone stuck in his face right after losing, but he handled it well. I think he still represents many wonderful things. I am glad we whipped their tails tonight, but Tebow continues to demonstrate his class.

Don't get me wrong, I am glad that he was crying after the game because that means that we won. However, I am not going to mock a young man who continues to show class and represent many things that are right in this world.
 
Most definately one of my top 5 college players of all time.... Not to mention his class..

I'm not talking about any type of adversity... just the type where every move you make is under examination by people who love to make news by telling everyone about your mistakes. Most of us don't live there... nor will ever be there.
 
And the lovefest continues. Maybe he'll be speaking in your community soon.

Bye Timmy, you strung us along for the benefit of a TV show, but Greg got the last laugh.

He was never coming to unstable Alabama, he just found a nice coach he could string along, although I believed he liked him. It made for great ESPN TV.
 
Because he is such a heck of a man, competitor and leader, I have had somewhat a competitive dislike of Tim. But, I'll tell you what.... I would be nothing but PROUD to have a son/brother/friend/dad like Tim Tebow. I hope that that kid maintains his character, love for people, and desire to be the best of the best.
You can hate on a Gator, but not TT.
 
We all know there is no crying in football ... but that kid has been gold in every possible way and dang good for college football, especially the SEC.
In life, some emotions are best kept private when one can will themselves to do it ... that includes crying ... and schadenfreude.
