After skipping a lot of articles. Besides being a great football player, what has Tim done that puts him on such a high pedestal, football and religion aside.

I just see him as a great player but not one that has to be treated with kid gloves by our fans.....or differently from other players. What is it that upsets people to the core?

He was never coming to unstable Alabama, he just found a nice coach he could string along, although I believed he liked him. It made for great ESPN TV.

I agree that he was never coming to Alabama. Through his entire recruitment I never believed for a moment he would sign with anyone but Florida.

As for the "lovefest" as you put it, you don't have to read the Tebow threads since it's obvious you don't like him. The sad part is you would be on the Tebow bandwagon had he signed with Alabama. To be honest it sounds like you are jealous of Tebow.

I'm extremely happy and excited that we won, but I did feel kinda bad for Tebow. He was greatly over exposed by the media over his career, but he is still a good guy and always shows class.

I may have been annoyed by the media romance for the guy, but the boy is the real deal, both as a player and as a decent human being. Let's be as gracious in victory as he was in defeat guys. His post-game comments really ratcheted up my respect for the guy and I hope the gators end up destroying whoever they get matched up against in their bowl.

One question Did they interview GMAC after the game - I didn't see it before the internet broadcast shut off. I don't remember ever seeing the losing QB as the prized interview after a game like this. I don't hold it against Tebow ... CBS now - that is different.

I'm not the one who is knocking a young man or poking fun at a young man that has never done anything but play his heart out, be a great leader, play outstanding football, be known as a fierce competitor and win. On top of that he's never done anything but show class. If you had ever played sports I think you would have much more respect and apprciation for Tebow. If people don't like it, that's fine. Just say you don't like him. As I said in an earlier post, it sounds to me like you are jealous of him.

As for the comment about being short sighted, Tebow has pretty much earned the praise he's gotten in my opinion. He's one of the greatest football players in college football history without a doubt. Love him or hate him results don't lie.

As an Alabama fan I just don't like it when one of our fans gloats at an opponent, makes fun of an opponent and does not conduct themselves with class and humility. I don't think you would care for anyone directing these things at you.

And for the record I've read your posts through the years and know that you are one that likes to stir the pot from time to time. :smile:

I know Tebow is a very emotional guy and of course he would cry. I just wish he would have held it together until he got to the locker room. Although I guess he is not used to the feeling after you lose.:smile: He is however a hell of a competitior and for everyone who says he will not be good in the NFL, i can say from almost every game I have ever watched that Tebow can make every throw.
