I don't want to get anyone's hopes up about our chances but it seems as if Mr. Pryor has narrowed his list down to 11 and Alabama just so happens to be one of the 11. I personally don't think we have much of a shot at him but I also wouldn't have figured we would have been even this close so who knows. Get after 'em Coach Saban!!! :biggrin2: :BigA:

jeez.. I didn't even know we were going after this guy!

getting him and JJ would be absolutely UNBELIEVABLE!
Everybody is after him, but I was surprised that he's even somewhat considering us. Like I've already said I wouldn't get my hopes up on getting him though. The optimist in me is absolutely ecstatic that we're even being considered, but the realist in me realizes that our chances of signing him are slim to nil. I would love to be wrong though! :biggrin2:

I think his top five is probably (in no order):

1) Penn State - Home-state team, they'll get his consideration by default if for no other reason than for lip-service to the locals.

2) West Virginia - RichRod would love to pair Devine with Pryor.

3) Ohio State - He's has better physical attributes than their recent Heisman winner. Another team who has a good offense for him.

4) Michigan - They have an opening at QB after this season.

5) Alabama - I don't think we're a leader, but I think Saban's ring and Applewhite's spread will interest him.

This is why I want JJ to go ahead and commit. I think if/when we get Julio, we get either Pryor, Manuel, or Jackson
I second that thought and until we get the big early bird commit we will never know who else that person could bring in. Just think if some of the past big commits came early and helped hit the recruiting area, by making phone calls, or if nothing else just being the big name on the board.

Pryor with Devine in the spread option would be NASTY, but i doubt he goes to the Big East. I think he goes to a bigger conference as to boost his draft stock.

I doubt he goes to the Big East and I doubt that Devine qualifies. I hope Devine does qualify as it would be a shame for that talent to go unused but at this point I doubt he qualifies.

Here's a recent interview with Terrelle basically breaking down his list of schools and why he kind of likes each. I think we're at least ahead of USC and ND.

After a Top 10 Class in Coach Saban's first month onboard nothing will surprise me. I fully see Alabama nailing down a Top 5 Class Come February.

Coach Saban and Staff will meet every need Alabama has. Do not be surprised if Alabama lands three or four 5 star players.
I hope you are right we will have to wait and see.

so why does he like bama....what are our chances of us landing this super freak
Interest is based off of liking the coaching staff (esp. Saban) and whatever his "role" would be in our offense (as described by the staff). Didn't really have a lot to say about any of his favorites, so it's hard to say where we stand, but most think PSU and OSU will be in his final list.

In any case, he'll decide late, so we've got time. I'd love to at least draw him down here one weekend.

Yeah I agree, he was kind of all over the place really. Very hard to get a read from that interview. Hopefully he'll decide to visit Bama at some point (hopefully during the season) before he makes a decision.

If you look at what the coaching staff did as far as Marve vs Fanuzzi, I think the staff is moving more toward mobility in the QB position. I think when Terrelle sees our offense and what it could be with a quarterback with his level of athleticism...he will like us even more.

I can't see why any young man would commit to Penn St at this juncture. Jo Pa is a great man, but he is like 83 yrs. old or close to it. There tumultuous times ahead for that program. He can't live and coach forever.
