The Cleveland Guardians?

Who are they "guarding?" Oh well...only time I ever pulled for a Cleveland team was when Ozzie Newsome was with the Browns.
Not the stupidest team name I've heard. Though, I would have been genuinely excited if they were now the Cleveland Paul Blarts.
I was hoping either:
1) The Team Formerly Known as the Indians
2) The Cleveland Baseball Team
3) The Fighting Whiteys

Absolutely stupid name that doesn't even sound good. My god why don't we just start making teams be Team 1, Team 2, Team 3 , Team 4, etc. What a marketing blunder.
Which would actually make some sort of sense, but this name doesn't even sound like a baseball team nor does it even sound/"flow" good when saying it. I think they could have done A LOT better, but that's their little red wagon, not mine.
Ruh roh! Talk about a marketing blunder. How about taking a name that is already in use?

There ya go, just like I said when I first saw the new name and logo, COMPLETE marketing blunder. My god, did no one put ANY creative thought and time into a new name and logo?
Should have went with The Cleveland Baseball Team or The Cleveland Browns (pretty sure that isn’t taken no need to Google). I still like The Cleveland Alcoholics.
