All this talk about Nazis and Fascists in the Republican party and now we have the equivalent of Progressives in the US in power in the UK prosecuting people for having a dissenting opinion than those in power. Isn't this the actual definition of Fascism?

Dissenting opinion from the extreme left and extreme right is under attack. Zealots do not have the capacity to respect different perspectives.

Oppressive control is one of the minor earmarks of fascism, but it is by no means the defining characteristic. Fascism has a centralized control under a dictator and a capitalist economic system under extremely tight governmental control. It does indeed feature violent suppression of opposition and nationalism is always present. The UK is turning into a crapshow, but it isn't close to be fascistic. To be honest, I don't know WHAT to call the UK anymore.

They let their immigration get out of control. They are trying to keep the clashing cultures from getting out of control by being heavy handed on speech restrictions.

Free speech fears as Labour announces 'anti-Muslim hostility' tsar

The Government has announced the creation of an official definition of 'anti-Muslim hostility' and the country's first tsar to tackle it in a £4million drive.

Under the new definition, anti-Muslim hostility is defined as crimes such as violence or harassment directed at people who are either Muslim or are perceived to be, as well as 'prejudicial stereotyping' to encourage hatred against them and unlawful discrimination.

Well, that should be obvious, since everyone knows all white people look alike. I actually had a Hong Kong native tell me that, that I couldn't expect him to distinguish between a German and an Irishman. Seems to me is that they just need more work on whites while holding on to the function with people of color...
