trailer looks good, 2 out of the 4 lead up series were strong. 1 was very mediocre (Luke Cage) 1 was awful (Iron Fist)

still I will watch it all

Looks to be of the same quality as the other series. I think it would be pretty good. Not the version of The Defenders I read as a kid, but it should work. Strange, Hulk, Valkyrie, are all in Marvel's Movie World -- so, not really able to bring them in.

But I am digging the PM/IF team up --

Favorite Cover as a Kid

If anyone watches Defenders of Tomorrow -- I was watching the crossover episode with Arrow, Flash and Supergirl. They kept referring to New York City as "New York City" -- which contradicts traditional DC's naming of cities. NYC was Metropolis (Manhattan) and Gotham (Brooklyn/Bronx).....but to my knowledge was never referred to as New York City. It actually bothered me a bit

My guess is that there is some branding reason why, like how Marvel has to say Inhuman or enhanced as Fox owns the rights to Mutant. Gotham and Metropolis are probably owned by someone who needs to get paid and the DC TV shows don't want to put out the cash where the movies will.

I know Iron Fist had it's flaws (and critics pre-determined to trash it) but I really liked it. I also liked Luke Cage a good bit as well but Daredevil was well ahead of the others on my meter.

Really liking how they've pulled this all together. Looking forward to the Punisher solo series as well.

Finn Jones can't fight or at least hasn't yet learned and the writing for Iron Fist was just plain awful. Cage went off the rails around mid season after a really promising start. Hoping that the writing budget went to Defenders and I agree with you on the Punisher.

Luke Cage was solid, not mediocre, imo, and Iron Fist while I won't call it awful, it was underwhelming. (<--I attribute that to more of the writers and producers not putting the actor in the best spot to make a good show) But I kind of want to Cage/IF consolidate into a "Heroes for Hire" series.

The Defenders look good but the series is most important for IF. If the character can't rebound from his lackluster stand alone, then his series is probably done, with The Punisher (which I am so looking forward to) takes his spot on Netflix/Marvel schedule.

Gotham City=New Jersey, fyi. Doesn't change your point, I know.

Originally I thought Gotham was Chicago but nope.

But, but... Colleen Wing.

It did amuse/take me out of it a few times on Iron Fist when I could see where they put a very visible CGI blur on the stunt guy's face in some of the fight scenes.
