The Good, The Bad and the Ugly….. Dawg style!

Bad - First Half with blocked punt
Very Bad - CKD decision to leave a hurt QB in shades of OK 2024
Worst - We are paying this clown 10 million for the job he is doing

Time to cut our losses

Who would you like to see coaching Bama?

Good: Defense was sound and tackling has improved all year and year-over-year. We don't miss Golding one little bit.

Bad: Ty Simpson was rattled all night. Again. And again it was because...

Ugly: Our OL could not even block me. I would have run right around either Tackle. We will always struggle against SEC caliber defenses with CKD's minsdet on protecting the QB. This league attracts the best. We have to do what UGA, OU and even sexaT have done.

The good- we aren’t auburn
The bad- coaching and execution across the board
The ugly- I don’t think our players ever thought we could win this game. Our game plan was non existent and we just embarrassed ourselves right out of the playoffs

Good: defense didn't quit ... was put in a lot of tough positions

Bad: lack of an offensive scheme... IN A SEC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. I get the injuries but there was no excuse for the play calling in this game. Negative rushing yards for the first time in 11 years? And the team we had Negative rushing yards in '14 was one of the best defenses in the history of college football.

Ugly: I hate to be critical of one player but Ty had the ugliest game of the season. Went from a Heisman contender to what we've had for the last 4-5 games.

As a team though, we just didn't look like we were ready to play this championship game

Good: Absolutely nothing

Bad: we look like we did nothing all week and showed up to play a scrimmage today

Ugly: Offense is the weakness of this team by and large. As much as I advocated for JM to get benched last year, now I see why they kept him in. At least you got a run threat and a deep ball

Good: defense for most of it
Bad: Special teams, offense, OL was just porous, DROPS...so many DROPS
Ugly: Grubb's game plan start to finish, Deboer's demeanor..didn't change

The Good: we’re not playing rugby, which is an 80 minute game.
the Bad: if only it were just bad!
Ugly: Ryan Grubb’s not learning anything from his debacle last year in Seattle. I sound like a broken record, but I’m starting to think that it’s broken because it’s right…

Good - Defense did its part.

Bad and Ugly - Everything else. Scheme, lack of adjustments, lack of physical toughness, etc. And, the worry that this won’t get any better than it is.

I probably don’t have a favorite yet you could have probably done as good as DeBoer did. No changes in personal when it was obvious some players needed to be replaced… don’t get me wrong KD is probably good for 9 win seasons maybe a ten win every now and then but he isn’t a championship coach at this level. The game is too big for him

The Good: Defense, which leads to my second point

The Bad: The offense didn't help the defense at all. Also, do we not know how to hurry up to preserve time? Also, Ty was way off tonight

The Ugly: Grubbs play calling didn't help. Long developing plays on 3rd downs. No design outlets for slowing the pass rush most of the time. Ty had nowhere to go sometimes cuz everyone was deep. He is creative, but he isn't good

Defense held the #3 team in the country to <300 yards of total offense.

Bama had one penalty for five yards.

The score was ugly, as was Bama's offense, but this game (like most) hinged on a few plays that all went UGA's way. They earned those plays, so kudos to them.

I feel you, defensively we would have done enough to win again. Unfortunately our play calling and execution on the offense was the worst Ive seen in quite some time.

We had 0 plays to combat jawjas blitzing of 5 or more players. A majority of our passing plays were deep routes that were playing against 2 safeties on top.

We had the most success passing in the 4th when they only rushed 4 players. On the flip side, jawja did exactly what we should have ... utilized the check down plays more. If I remember correctly uga didn't have any passes over 20 yards and thats thanks to our D ... but they were gaining 4-5 yards off of check downs.

This was inexcusable for a championship game but hopefully CKD learns from it. RTR
