The Good, The Bad and the Ugly….. Dawg style!

I feel you, defensively we would have done enough to win again. Unfortunately our play calling and execution on the offense was the worst Ive seen in quite some time.

We had 0 plays to combat jawjas blitzing of 5 or more players. A majority of our passing plays were deep routes that were playing against 2 safeties on top.

We had the most success passing in the 4th when they only rushed 4 players. On the flip side, jawja did exactly what we should have ... utilized the check down plays more. If I remember correctly uga didn't have any passes over 20 yards and thats thanks to our D ... but they were gaining 4-5 yards off of check downs.

This was inexcusable for a championship game but hopefully CKD learns from it. RTR
Making Stockton a passer and getting to 3rd and long was going to be key...they rolled him out and nickled and dimed us to death with 3 or 4 or 5 yd completions...it moves the sticks and gives you options...we just didn't really try that enough so in 3rd and long it was a black Friday door opening pass rush coming at TY a lot

The Good- The game is over

The Bad- Having to listen to Ty end every sentence with "right?" in the post game conference

The Ugly- Listening to CKD's pitiful reasons for the playoff committe to still keep us in. We weren't even competitive against a team who was just as banged up as we were. Yet they looked prepared and we looked like we belonged in the Independence Bowl in Shreveport.

Good - defense mostly

Bad - offense mostly

Ugly - that 4th and 2 play call.....go for it, great, but make a high percentage call.

Ugly #2 - the entire OL and Ty's inaccuracy

Ugly #3 - Grubb's lack of offensive identity

The Good-the defense and we did finally manage to score.

The Bad-the OL, we haven't had a decent OL since Bill O'Brian and the OL coach (I can't remember his name) he brought with him. I know we have had probably 3 different line coaches since, but none have solved the problems.

The Ugly-we are exposed and in the last 2 games have really showed how to keep our offense stymied, Blitz, blitz, blitz and blitz until you run out of DL and LB's. When they get tired run the waterboys out there and they would still put pressure on the QB.

Good: defense didn't quit ... was put in a lot of tough positions

Bad: lack of an offensive scheme... IN A SEC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. I get the injuries but there was no excuse for the play calling in this game. Negative rushing yards for the first time in 11 years? And the team we had Negative rushing yards in '14 was one of the best defenses in the history of college football.

Ugly: I hate to be critical of one player but Ty had the ugliest game of the season. Went from a Heisman contender to what we've had for the last 4-5 games.

As a team though, we just didn't look like we were ready to play this championship game
Who did we have negative rushing yards against in 2014?

Good- The defense played pretty well and gave a solid effort. The steak I had for dinner was terrific.
Bad- Watching us have a horrible performance offensively yet again was gut wrenching. We started the season with a dud and ended it with a thud.
Ugly- That performance set offensive football back 20 years. The coaches should donate 1/13 of their salaries to charity. That was brutally ugly.

Good: UGA unfortunately.

Bad: OL.

Ugly #1: 3rd & 3 on our own 10 yardline. Incomplete pass. 4th & 3. Another incomplete pass, followed by another TD gifted to UGA.

Ugly #2: Ty had maybe a second before he's dodging UGA defenders. Patrick Mahonnes couldn't have moved the sticks with an OL that porous.

Ugly #3: Armchair fans who think replacing CKD is the answer. Ridiculous! OTOH, replacing Grubb... Hmmm...

I'm gonna say this and then be done with last night's game.
Coach DeBoer, Coach Grubb: y'all need to figure out real quick that you need to develop a solid run game.
Y'all need to figure out real quick that y'all need to get some offensive linemen in here who want to block (ESPECIALLY RUN BLOCK) and have a nasty disposition on the field.
When you have 3rd and 2 and you don't trust your offense enough to get 2 yards on two plays by running the ball that's on the head coach, offensive line coach and OC. Period.
You cannot win in this league with an offensive line as soft as ours is.
Our offense is softer than melted butter on a hot July day.
Grubb, you better figure out what hot routes are and work them into your route tree/audibles before you get a qb hurt. Try some slants or screens sometimes. I promise you they work.
Now, that being said: this season was an improvement over last season.
Last season we don't make it thru the 4 or 5 game stretch playing top 15 ranked teams without at least 2 losses so we have made improvement.
I think the staff can make the changes as long as they aren't stubborn like Lester Myles.
But if they dig their heels in like they don't need to make changes it will be another Mike Shula situation.

Bad - First Half with blocked punt
Very Bad - CKD decision to leave a hurt QB in shades of OK 2024
Worst - We are paying this clown 10 million for the job he is doing

Time to cut our losses
A little over the top need to cool off before commenting on anything. I really want CKD to succeed he is type of guy that looks good as the face of the program. I knew we had some guys hurt but was unaware the total that players that were playing hurt. Sorry for the emotional response. Glad for the guys that they got the nod to go to the playoffs. Really does my soul good that ND got the cold shoulder. Revenge for 1966

The Good = The became to an end. This was equivalent to the Tides’s 35-0 loss to the Gators in the Swamp.

The Bad= The offense all night

The ugly = The team rushing totals SMH
