20K people attended Bonnie Parker's funeral and 15K for Clyde Barrow....

Think about how oppressed and what unfairness the people must have felt at that time to lionize outlaw bank robbers. I believe we're heading back down the same road to those bad times, if we're not there already with Luigi.

Amazon is taking the creative reigns of the James Bond franchise. There is no way this isn't a disaster. Only Disney or Netflix getting a hold of this franchise could possibly be worse. Granted, the last couple of Bond films stunk but I'm afraid Amazon is going to Amazon it and drive it into the ground. Clicky

I haven't read through this thread, but if anyone is looking for a good series (1 season, but just said there will be a 2nd season), I highly recommend Paradise on Hulu. It has 8 episodes for the 1st season.

Watched The King on Netflix. About the last days of Henry IV and V's taking the throne amidst a bucket of troubles. Very well done.
Related to that, you might enjoy Henry V. It's Kenneth Branagh's film adaptation of the Shakespeare play. The Elizabethan English takes a few minutes to get used to, but it's a great movie and the actors do a wonderful job of understanding the lines they're speaking. Makes the language a lot easier to follow.

Branagh's St. Crispian's Day speech just prior to the Battle of Agincourt is truly inspiring -- I think far better than Olivier's from the 1944 film. If you hear Branagh's version and don't think that you and Harry can beat all those Frogs just the two of you, you don't have a spirit.

Football didn't exist when Shakespeare wrote it, but it's the best pregame pep talk in all of history.

How did a single audition shape one of the most iconic characters in movie history? In this video, we explore how the unforgettable casting session for Forrest Gump helped shape the heart and soul of the film.

When Tom Hanks sat down with a young actor for a screen test, something incredible happened and it changed everything. We break down how this powerful moment influenced not only Hanks’ performance but also redefined how the character of Forrest became so deeply human. You’ll also see rare behind-the-scenes footage, learn how the script was adapted, and discover how that audition became one of the most emotional moments in Hollywood history.

This isn’t just a casting story, it’s the moment Forrest Gump became real.

Long day for me yesterday and finally settled in late to relax and watched "Top Gun: Maverick" for a second time, on Paramount.

Really good movie of course.....but gotta say that scene with Maverick meeting with Iceman was ultra-cool. Especially poignant with the recent death of Val Kilmer.

Just heard this morning that there is John Madden biopic in the works. Who is playing Madden you might ask? Well it is none other than Nick Cage. He is going to try to do the voice. It will be epically bad.
