The running game... or lack thereof

And in 2023 they had a transfer RB from Miss St who had a thousand yard rushing season.

Also, DeBoer and Grubb are not dumb people, they have to get to a point where they decide some of their historical strategies that have worked at other stops just won't work in the SEC. Adapting is part of survival and people who don't adapt, die, or in this case, get fired.

I think DeBoer and Grubb will in fact adapt and are already working on it.

Next year will tell the tale, but I think this is really the first year they've run the full offense after last year's horrible limitations.

Another year with upgrades and hopefully the offensive attack does as well as the defense is doing now.

This is what I'm hoping. It is tough to watch my Tide get pushed around, so I hope they realize that physicality and toughness need to be blended with their concepts in order to win championships in this league. I hope DeBoer gets it done. Roll Tide.

That and we have to have OT's who can handle the speed rush!

Given that none of the RBs can pass block, i think it is time to commit to the guys who can advance the ball. Hill for sure and geez what can hurt to play Dear more. The “player x is a bad blocker so cant get snaps” claim seems moot.
Agree 100% with playing Dear, even if it’s sparingly. There must be some situations when he could play with low risk even if he can’t pick up a blitz. Obvious or likely running downs, for instance. If nothing else, he could serve as a decoy if the opponent thought he was only coming in to run the ball.

I'd love to see a few snaps, just so we can get some live action data on him. We have to make a decision about how many RBs to look for in the off season.
