Romney is a republican and an obvious example of a man who risked his entire career to do the right thing. There are some decent people in the republican party. But their leadership is consolidating power and trying to rig the system to remain in power. Need to cut the head off of the snake in the next election - and I don't just mean Trump. I don't mind if Republicans hold onto some of these seats, but I cannot respect anyone who votes for the three men that I listed.

yeah, romney. but at this point, that's about it. the rest of them are falling in line. some are doing it with more furrowed brows than others, but they are all in regardless.

Do not call these guys conservatives. I consider myself to be moderately conservative and the Republican party is not conservative anymore. We have a problem with associating conservative with republican and liberal with democrat. As the democratic race has shown us there is a wide range in the party from liberal to neo-liberal, to socialist, and yes there are even some moderate democrats. However for some reason we allow a few people in the Republican party to define conservatism. Cutting taxes on the wealthy to such an extent that it costs the deficit to go up is not conservative. If we had a budget surplus THEN cutting taxes on the rich would be considered conservative. Cutting medicare and social security should not be considered conservative. If you make a promise to the population that if they give up a certain percent of their income for their entire life then when they retire they will be covered by the government, then the government should cover that. If you do not want to honor that commitment then just stop saying the social security tax is an investment for when people retire and call it robbery. I could go on but I feel like a simple response turned into a rant on accident. To get to the point: republican does not equal conservative.

Again, Trump has no shame. He now admits to Geraldo in an interview that he sent Rudy Giuliani to Ukraine to find damaging information about Biden. I really wish they would impeach him again.
