I don't know what the 'worst' mascot is, ... no I take that back. I vote for WKU's Big Red as the worst... or the big goofy inflated cornhusker dude, also named Big Red?

As for the best it's got to be none other than the Fighting Okra of Delta State!!!

I think I need a fightin okra tattoo... on my forearm!!!

Just went back to the first page and OP... EcoKat... really... if it sticks that will absolutely be the worst mascot in US sports, PERIOD!

Also yall better start respectin the fighting Okra! Generally I prefer 'fun' mascots that represent something... anything, not some big fuzzy 'what-is-it' mascot. Aubie, Big Al, UF's Gator, Fighting Okra, Banana Slug, etc. = great fun for fans and kids... mascots are supposed to be fun.

Let's not forget the Scottsdale CC Fighting Artichokes, the North Carolina School of Arts Fighting Pickle (what's the deal with all the angry vegetables?) or the St. Louis College of Pharmacy "Eutectic", Mortimer McPestle.

I love the Fighting Okra mascot. Their "real" mascot is something else. Can't remember how they came up with the Okra, but let's make gumbo!

Big goofy inflated cornhusker dude is actually Lil' Red. Yes, you read that correctly, Lil' Red. Herbie Husker is also their mascot, they have two, I know because my husker brother constantly reminds me of the double mascot, to which I respond 1 Big Al is still greater than 2 ridiculous ones!!

I love the big fuzzy mascots, even trees and okra are very cool. Not to big a fan of big ball shaped mascots like Syracuse/Ohio St. However I really really detest some inflated thing... it's just bad form like you're hocking used cars or some such.

For the record the webpage I linked above has a mascot named, and I'm not kidding, The Choker!!! Yep... THE CHOKER!!!
