Tide Pride "Seat Transfer Agreement"?

Does anybody that is a member of Tide Pride have experience with something called a "Seat Transfer Agreement?" This was mentioned in the memo that came with the Tide Pride renewal application a week or so ago. It says Tide Pride account holders will be receiving information on it in the "next few weeks" and "you may want to wait to send your donation until you have reviewed this information."
Maybe this is a new wrinkle or an old wrinkle that I have not noticed before. thanks

The way I viewed that was if you as a current Tide Pride member want to transfer your seats to someone (such as other family member) else, you can and they pick up from there rather than you losing your seats and such.

If this isn't right, someone please fill in.

I've been a member for five seasons and this is the first I had heard of it (with the renewal notice). I think it has to do with moving/transferring your seats and/or club donation level.

It's new.
My buddy and I both have two seats one section apart from each other. Each year we petition to get four seats together and each year they tell us they can't do it (Anyone shocked?) so I trade my seats/season tickets with someone next to him. Anyway, hopefully this will help remedy the situation for us and others with a similar request or need.

From what I hear, it will be a one-time opportunity for Tide Pride members to transfer seats to and from other people. I don't know any of the specifics on it, but I think it will involve something like a $150 fee to transfer.

That is accurate. You can still transfer this year without incurring the cost but beginning next year you will be charged for doing so.

That is not what the posted information says. It says that you have until February 1 to make a transfer for $150, and after that, there are no more transfers.

Wow! No more transfers? I know alot of folks who got good seats through transfers. Maybe it's a good thing though, with the waiting list in the thousands they just want to get as many of those in as possible every year from here on out.

What do you mean? They have not allowed transfers in the past except to spouses. I think some people are confusing transfers with seat moves.

I was told last season that there would be no transfers of TP ownership - not moving your seats or changing club levels but transferring your right to buy tickets, etc. via Tide Pride. Was told they had done it in the past but it was penalizing those on the waiting list and a new policy was being developed.

So if I want to give my tickets to my kids I cant? Thats the stupidest thing I have ever heard. It's unfair to someone on the waitlist so we screw over the people who have been there all these years?
Correct. If you plan to give your tickets to your kids, you need to do it by Feb. 1 or you'll never be able to.

You might call Tide Pride and ask if you can add your kids to your current account as co-holders (the last time I talked to Tide Pride, the representative seemed to suggest it's possible, but I've found no evidence that it is). Otherwise, change ownership this year or never at all.

For family transfers,I wouldn't worry about it. My Tidepride tickets (5) are all in my fathers name, yet I pay for them with my credit card every year (next year will be number 6). My parents pay me for their two. The University will take payment, doesn't matter whose name is on the check.
