Hi Everyone, I am a Houston native and very excited for the possibility that Alabama may play here. That said, I know Texas fans would buy tickets FAST if they beat Washington.

That said - what is the best way to get tickets? It would be a huge gift to go with my father (he went to UT and I want to not miss out). They already look expensive.
- To buy them now and take a calculated risk?
- To buy them the moment Alabama wins?
- Somewhere in between?
- Right before the game (1-2 days)

PLEASE - not comments about handling Michigan first or Jynxes. I don't think any comments made by me on a blog will affect how anything plays out. I'm not that special.

Buy them now and cheer for Texas. If both win, you and dad have fun. Even if it’s Texas-Michigan, you can enjoy it with your father.

1800 is the get in price…. I really don’t see that number moving much unless Washington wins.

Face value is around $550 for Upper deck just to give you a reference. But with the game being in a state with a major program in the final 4 makes this even more difficult.

I’ve been to 2 NCs (Atlanta and Indy) and there was a huge difference in get in price. The game in Atlanta was similar to the current one 1800. I paid a guy to sneak me past security to get in.

The game in Indy was expensive until Michigan was eliminated and I paid 400 to get in.

My point is that unless you are willing to pay someone to sneak you in or pay in the thousand dollar range then your best bet is to hope Texas loses to Washington

Makes sense. So you're saying I *should* expect ticket prices to fall if Texas loses?

Man even if that is true, if Texas wins it will be like I waited to late.

Can't decide!

Should it be Alabama vs Washington then tickets will be close to and maybe under face value. Alabama fans have generally been priced out with all this travel since 2009. We don’t travel near as well as we did back in 2012. We are often playing a true road game at neutral site games vs big opponents. Washington will bring a decent showing but it will be difficult to fill up nrg for Bama vs Washington.

Are you a member of BAMA Houston, the Houston chapter of the National Alumni Association? The local chapters typically get tickets and sell/raffle to members. The North Texas Chapter is currently raffling tickets to the Rose Bowl.
