Questionable quarterback talent. He got the most out of the talent under center.Last season Bama ran 51% and passed 49% while Notre Dame ran 61% and passed 39%. I don't know if that was because Rees is more conservative or if he simply didn't have the QB to do anything else. If Rees is more conservative and Saban wants to get back to more power football due to UGA's success then maybe that is why he chose Rees. I think in today's game though that kind of offense can only work if you have a Top 5 defense like UGA.
Irv Smith Jr for a bitI don’t think we have really used a TE since OJ!
From what I've gathered the lack of "talent" at QB (and Wr) dictated a lot of the play-calling and game-planning. ND lost their starting QB to injury in the second game of the season. So basically, from game three on Rees is running an offense with the 2nd string QB.Last season Bama ran 51% and passed 49% while Notre Dame ran 61% and passed 39%.
Irv Smith was better than OJ and that was three years ago.I don’t think we have really used a TE since OJ!
This is what we need more than any other thing.Praise God, please be true!

Sources: Alabama to hire Notre Dame OC Rees
Notre Dame offensive coordinator Tommy Rees has accepted the job to replace Bill O'Brien as Alabama's offensive coordinator, sources told ESPN.www.espn.com
With Grantham now out of the picture, I'm more excited about the DC hire.Welcome Coach, hit the ground running, build us another offensive machine. Now, hopefully Coach Saban will make a homerun hire with the DC. I’ve still got fingered crossed for JP. RTR.
Irv Smith, 15 games, 44 catches, 710 yards, 7tds - 2.93 catches/game, 47.33 yards/gameeven then, we coulda used Howard more. On a per game basis Latu wasn't that far behind
OJ, 15 games, 45 catches, 595 yards, 3 tds - 3 catches/game, 39 yards/game
Latu 11 games, 30 catches, 377 yards, 4tds - 2.72 catches/game, 34.27 yards/game, 4 tot
2018 was more than three years ago…Irv Smith was better than OJ and that was three years ago.
He keeps using that word. I don’t think it means what he thinks it means…
And the most important two of all:Welcome Coach Rees and just in case you might peruse the best fan board on the inter-webs here’s an acronym breakdown for you.
CNS = Coach Nick Saban
CTR = That’d be you, sir.
BOB = The guy you replaced.
CPG = The previous Bama DC.
RTR = Roll Tide Roll.
