Years ahead of us in modular nuclear energy, solar, wind power and EV's of all types. US AI companies waiting in line for electronics from China to build out their projects in the US. Years will be required for the US to catch up on rare earth mining and processing to meet our defense requirements. All the while this administration pushes coal fired plants and kills off-shore wind projects.
We have progressed too far too fast and keep trying to push further without even having a handle on what we are doing.
I can’t even begin to describe how much I HATE AI and how badly we are just abusing it for the most nonsense things.
It wastes so much energy and natural resources because people are too lazy to just spend a little more time with good old fashioned research.
Well it’s not even that because we use to go to Libraries and use the Dewey decimal system.
We have the most knowledge at our fingers tips than ever… you just type what you are looking for in a search bar and start reading.
But that’s still too much effort apparently.
That’s not even getting into using AI for stupid asinine image memes and AI videos.
It’s a digital plague and we are on pace to waste 25% of estimated US Households power needs in 2026 because of this stuff.
It’s estimated to consume 12% of ALL US power needs.
We messed up with ‘Smart’ phones and tablets and everyone to some point or another is addicted to screen time and especially kids and young adults.
But AI is even worse and we seem to be on a mission to just destroy the planet as fast as possible.
