I am not sure that AOC belongs on his list. She is there because he hates her ideology, but she has done literally nothing other than get people talking about change. The others on his list have been a part of the machine for decades.

You know, I don’t agree with AOC on everything, but every time there is some crisis somewhere, I become more and more impressed with her….

Yeah, I don't hate her, I just disagree with her on most things.

But she is perpetuating the two party system, as is most everyone not named BERNIE Sanders in DC, so I'll keep her on the list.

She doesn't care a whit about the democratic party except where it helps her forward her agenda. She really is a socialist - and the democratic party is not a socialist party. Yeah, the republicans have been lying about that, too.

I ran across this the other day. You're right - she's be fantastic to have on your side during a crisis.
I've donated $ to campaigns, ended up on an DNC & GOP email list. Contacted congressmen. Shelby & Sessions sent back basic letters. Doug Jones sent back a letter that was relevant. W sent a wedding congratulations :LOL:, & Jerry Carl sends email asking for money talking about the radical socialist dems destroying the country - even though I've never contacted him.

But not one of them has checked on me after a natural disaster. Not that I need checking on - but plenty of people do need help - & to organize a grassroots effort to check on constituents is really impressive.

I like AOC. I even like some of her policies. I don’t like how she and those on the far left give sound bites that easily bolster the fear mongering set up to scare ignorant, lazy, and patriarchal based old white Americans.

I say all that with the full realization that it isn’t her fault. I also recognize that it is coming from a middle aged white dude and I am essentially talking about how I think a minority woman shouldn’t say what she thinks all the time because it might offend/scare people. Not a good look, I know. I don’t know how to fix it. She has been more helpful and supportive of those in her district than many others in her position. By all accounts her behavior while in office has been exemplary barring any of the manufactured outrage that Fox News and the Republicans have managed to create because they need another female to vilify now that HRC is out of the equation.

It sucks. But in a post-fact/truth society where half of the nation is spoon fed hate and fear, I worry that all of her good deeds and work get ignored because Fox/OAN/Newsmax will never report on the actions, and always choose to amplify the messages that paint her as the next Felicity Castro that Democrats plan to elect.
