Thats a sobering read. And 49% of America voted for this. Thank you neighbor...

The Coming Economic Nightmare
Trump’s tariffs could cause stagflation for the first time in decades. It may go on for a long, long time.

I see to remember a “tan suite” controversy. Why are we not talking about a certain person breaking protocol of wearing a black suit to the Pope’s funeral?

And now, he is evidently thinking of revoking the tax exempt status of relatively small groups he sees as being against him rather than just universities. I'm sure he will not think of doing it to white supremacist groups registered as such. And there are definitely a LOT of those.
Don’t worry, give it until next week. He will flip flop on that too. I really don’t know if this is the most inept administration ever , or the most brilliant.

On the list of things that bother me about Trump, wearing a blue suit to the pope’s funeral ranks pretty low.

That's what it is with trump. He is so horrific in so many ways that we have all become mostly immune to actions. If the bar has been set so low that he can instigate an insurrection, sit back and watch while it unfolds, say he will pardon the insurrectionists and still get elected, there is nothing much left to surprise us anymore.

Even if he were a normal president and I just disagreed with his politics but didn’t dislike him on a personal level a blue suit at a funeral wouldn’t bother me. It’s not like he wore a tie-dye and cut offs with a MAGA hat.

Democrats:
"Isn't it cool that Fetterman flouts convention by wearing shorts and hoodies?"

Also Democrats:
"How dare Trump flout convention by wearing a blue suit to a funeral!"

I am of two minds on this:
1) it is further proof (and none were needed) that the "loyal opposition" will literally whine, cry, and complain about every little thing, including irrelevant stuff like this
2) it is also further proof Trump will do literally anything to get extra attention; I have zero doubt that he did this just to get the extra headlines because that is precisely who he is

Having said that, we're both old enough to remember so-called patriots whining about Obama not wearing a flag on his lapel or having someone else hold his umbrella for him, insinuating he wasn't a "real man", so I'm used to this theatrical level of complaining.

I think the "blue suit" comments are more of a response to Obama's infamous "tan suit" incident.

I had to look this up which tells you how much I even knew about it. Then when l saw the date l realized l was dealing with the week of “the 23-year marriage is over”.

But l couldn’t have cared less then or now.

Also, l thought Democrats whined at Whataboutism- but they sure do love to play it.

I honestly think that if Richard Nixon had just had the good fortune to have committed the Watergate scandal in 1998 (Clinton) or nowadays, he would survive. We are so overwhelmed with the trivial being lifted to the level of scandal that proportionality insists real scandal be lowered to the level of triviality.

I can list 500 things wrong with Donald Trump and his administration in a matter of minutes; I could probably list 100 with the Obama administration in 10 since it was nearly a decade ago that it ended.

What suit either man wears does not even crack the top 1 million in my view.

Sen. Kennedy: "I don't think President Trump has defied any federal orders. I don't know what these judges expect the federal government to do. Bukele has said he's not returning Mr. Garcia. Mr. Garcia is not coming back to the United States. Ever."

Due process doesn't matter to Republicans who support this. The US Constitution doesn't matter to Republicans who support this. Court orders don't matter to Republicans who support this.
