Tua's Knee

Some people are discussing this tweet from Tua to Jeudy and think it has some significance. I'm an old guy who doesn't understand how the younger people talk so maybe someone else can decode it.

But my best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Tua pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

Thank you Simone!

I'm not going to worry too much about the situation. First off, this is why it is great that Alabama still has Hurts. Hurts has a 198 passer rating, if he qualified that would put him third in the NCAA behind only Tua and Murray. Granted, we all know his weaknesses might only manifest against elite defenses, but he's clearly shown improvement as a passer. He's not Tua, but he's still one of the best backups in college football.

Secondly, I think Tua has two chances to get this right really. The first is that with any luck he can be out of the Tennessee game early, and then he has the bye week to rest up for LSU. I seriously doubt any sort of procedure is done prior to LSU because that's a pretty important game. However, if the bye week wasn't enough to get him right, there's basically a one month layoff between the SECCG and the playoffs. So, if it does prove to be something minor enough that he could have a two week recovery time, that would be the window to do that and give him a month to recover. He could have it done around the third and have four full weeks of recovery time.

It can be interpreted as 1 to 3 weeks out.

Per Google: Shake Back = When you get knocked down, and you grind back to the top.

I would guess that the tweet means out 1-3 weeks. But not sure why he would put that out there before Saban has a chance to do so if that is what he means.

I’m betting he doesn’t start against the Orange puke. It’s not necessary, and only if the wheels come off should he even be a consideration of going in.
I don’t think they can cross the goal line against Bama’s defense.
21-0 or 24-0 is fine with Tua out (although I think it will be a lot more than that).

Could be a “context” thing. Referring to Smith. Or Ruggs, etc

Sure it could - we all know that we are guessing. I am not sure how much Saban will share about Tua since he will want TN to have to prepare for both Tua and Jalen. Announce that Jalen will start and you give them a ton of time to prepare for him.

Rumor is torn meniscus. Needs surgery; decision coming by Monday. Out 2-3 weeks after surgery.
Saban likely to address it today.
Mama Tua's prayers are needed.

The Windtalkers would have nothing on the kids of today. When they talk to each other they seem to do so in code. Standard English is almost a foreign language to them these days.

He could be saying "shake back 13", in other words he feels that he slipped from the top and has to grind to get back, because of the game he had, not that it wasnt good but you know he can't be happy with it. Not sure though.

Ah - as in shake back one three. Tua definitely didn’t look happy when Saban would not let him go back in - but he seemed to be happier by the end of the game. Rashad reported that Tua had run up to Coach and told him he was ready to go.
