I'm not going to worry too much about the situation. First off, this is why it is great that Alabama still has Hurts. Hurts has a 198 passer rating, if he qualified that would put him third in the NCAA behind only Tua and Murray. Granted, we all know his weaknesses might only manifest against elite defenses, but he's clearly shown improvement as a passer. He's not Tua, but he's still one of the best backups in college football.
Secondly, I think Tua has two chances to get this right really. The first is that with any luck he can be out of the Tennessee game early, and then he has the bye week to rest up for LSU. I seriously doubt any sort of procedure is done prior to LSU because that's a pretty important game. However, if the bye week wasn't enough to get him right, there's basically a one month layoff between the SECCG and the playoffs. So, if it does prove to be something minor enough that he could have a two week recovery time, that would be the window to do that and give him a month to recover. He could have it done around the third and have four full weeks of recovery time.
