two more jumbotrons

Just saw a couple of jumbotrons in a truck going on the University boulevard. Since there are not many places around here that need this kind of equipment, one can make their own guess as to where they were going to.

I was not impressed though, I thought they would be a little bigger. They were probably about the same size as the other two already in place.

That is the plan. The south endzone will look like the north endzone in that regard.

The endzone additions look great and I am rather shocked that they were able to get built in close proximity to each other, time wise.

But, If I was put ina place to make decisions I would have maximized the jumbo screen size and would not have Ad-holes on either side fo the screens. Looks like crap IMO.

And put brick on the endzone walls. They look better.

What looked like crap was the picture on the old one. The size of the new ones are fine unless you like old man font and those phones with big buttons. I'l take FOUR HD screens that can be viewed anywhere In the stadium over anyone else's setup anyday

I were a betting man I would bet those Jumbos you saw were heading for Coleman. They have just removed the old scoreboards and screens and are in the process of hanging the new center scoreboard and HD screens. Looking at the various pics of the south EZ expansion, it doesn't look like they have the structure in and around the turn-styles (round ramps) to the point where they could mount either of the new jumbos that will go there. I haven't seen good new pics in 2 weeks though.

Oh, I guess I didn't specify that... When I saw it, the truck was passing Denny Chimes going in the stadium direction. They were not going to Coleman for sure - that's in the opposite direction.

We'll i doubt they are going to put two jumbo-trons in storage for a year or so. It's almost definitely heading for Coleman.

Well lets see we have had the Cash for Clunkers and now I am reading that we may have the Cash for Dishwashers. I would be surprised if there is some obscure stimulus called Cash for Jumbotrons. You never know we may traded that old one in on these 2 new ones.

Would be nice to have them for this a season imo. If your sitting in the north endzone ist hard to get a good view of the current ones.

Just glad to see we are moving in a positive direction. BDS is going to be the most beautiful stadium in the entire nation. I like the jumbo trons we have, the old one was great for a long while but it was time to up grade. All will be well at BDS, I cant wait to get to my seats for the first game....:BigA:

I wish they would install a large jumotron in the south endzone and keep the 2 smaller ones in the northern end. The smaller "jumbotrons" just don't do it for me. Just my opinion though. RTR!

I believe the old one caught fire and partially burned before they dismantled it.
