I was genuinely shocked that didn’t happen. I remember Jess even wrote in his post-game breakdown that he expected Ty to be the starter moving forward. One day I really want to know what went on at that point in the season…

Yeah, I remember reading that too, and I took a sigh of relief thinking to myself "Finally, the experiment is over". Then the "players only" meeting happened...

I know you said you werent calling me out . To explain, I dont think that was doubting Ty, he said our shoulder which I took as the team . We have heard this talk before. And no, Ty has played well in every game. I keep going back to what might have been in 2023
Speaking of Ty, Ty had 4 drops against FSU. He played well in that game . If not for those drops, Ty goes for 300 yards and Bama outgains FSU. Everyone wants to pretend Bama sat on their hands all fame, but like any fame, a couple of plays here and there and the game would have been different, even given how unprepared they were. I equate that game with the South Florida game a few years ago.

To be honest, I am pretty sure Coach Saban was already debating on retiring to the lake and trying to go out on a high note. We all were surprised when he didn't say "That's MY TEAM on the field the rest of the season" and then it kind of appeared he had lost a handle on the locker room leadership at that point.
