Re: Tyler Love to talk to coach, announcement could come this weekend

This is just one entanglement in our recruiting. Not to mention, the Mobile recruits we already have Matchett, Preyear and the fact that they are trying to get Barron, Hood, Jones and a few others that are still out there in Mobile that we want. Then you have the straight up studs that we are still in the mix for: A. Brown, TJ Bryant, Robby Green. I mean this thing ends up like 6 top 50 recruits. Sure i'm wishful thinking, but that's how momentum works. People realize something special is happening and want to be apart.
You're exactly right. There are just so many great players that we are in on that it almost seems impossible to not have a great class this year. It's really hard to keep from getting excited about the impact a commitment from Love could potentially have, but he hasn't committed yet, so I'm staying cautiously optimistic.

I'm confused, if you grew up an Alabama fan, then CNS is at the school you love, how could you not go to Bama? That would be like a dream come true...

It'll either happen or it won't so we have a 50/50 chance. ;)

Yeah i realize that this is like a pipe dream scenario. Out of those three you bolded, we probably have the best chance at Robby Green. But Barron, J Jones and Love would be three more top 50 recruits we're going after. BJ Scott is top 50 on rivals not Barron.

Granted 5-star athletes don't tend to shy away from competition but I hope TL is thinking "early playing time" and notices just how crowded the OL department is over at Georgia. They had 8 O-Line commits in last year's class and 5 in their '06 class.
UGA's OL situation is still very wide open due to grade losses, Hargrave people, and position changes.

With that said, UGA's main guy on Rivals already told their board that Love is ours (friend with UGA account showed me) so I am not worried anymore

Judging by what was said in the article....he's Bama bound. Unless I'm totally misreading something that seems pretty easy to interpret.

Re: Tyler Love to talk to coach, announcement could come this weekend

This is my line of thinking...

He cancels a trip to Florida's FNL camp in order to take in his words a "make it or break it trip" to Georgia. To me this says that Alabama was his choice, and he had eliminated Florida, but before he commits to Alabama he wants to take one last visit to Georgia to make sure of his decision. If Georgia were still in it then I tend to agree that he would probably wait to announce, because he would probably be taking official visits to both schools. Since he is announcing so soon after his Georgia visit then this tells me that Georgia didn't make it. Therefore, Roll Tide!

- One more thing...as a graduate of Mountain Brook I do know that Mountain Brook kids love Georgia so I always thought that Georgia would be our biggest competition. I just think that in the end this lifelong Alabama fan won't pass up the opportunity to play for the Tide.

Why would Mountain Brook kids love Georgia? I'm sorry, I have to ask.

Re: Tyler Love to announce Friday at 6 PM

I have no idea why this announcement scares me so much.

I guess, like other recruits, Tyler has had no reports of friends and "insiders" posting about him. Guess I'll find out tomorrow. :BigA::)

Okay, some at UGA, think they have a chance, I am now concerned, somewhat, back to the waiting game.

I think most are concerned because it has been sometime since we landed a 5* this early on.

I hope Love shows us all some Love.

It is just a popular place to go to college in Mountain Brook. I think it has to do with it considered being one of the better public universities and you still get big time SEC athletics as well as a fun college town in Athens. Look, I didn't go to Georgia so I am not defending them, but just giving my opinion on why it is popular in Mountain Brook. I still personally believe that he will choose Alabama tomorrow.

that's interesting......maybe it's the more "urban" feel to the campus.

Re: Tyler Love to announce Friday at 6 PM

Please correct me if I am wrong but from what I understand
Tyler's Mother and Dad graduated from the University Of Alabama and he also grew up a very big Alabama fan.

There is no doubt in my mind that Tylers Mother and Dad will play a very special part in where he goes to college and where he will play college football.

I truly believe that familys are suppost stick together and when you start something you need to finish it the right way and that way would be for Tyler to honor is Mother and Dad by going to college and playing football for the school that his Mother and Dad graduated from and that would be the
University Of Alabama.;)
