UF and LB Arthur Brown

Sorry guys, I didn't mean to suggest that AB himself was suspect, just the way this whole thing has gone down. I don't know if this was just and internet rumor, but isn't Bryce Brown the manager at a Verison Wireless store or something like that? I'm an AT&T guy myself so I don't know how I feel about all of that.... Anyway, I hope the kid gets to the school of his liking, even if it isn't Bama. This Bryce Brown guy should evaluate what he's doing and ask himself if he is really doing Arthur any good. I hate to judge, but considering that both AB and his brother will have NFL$$$ in their futures they should look to see if the people around them are doing what is best for them.

"Bryce Brown" is Arthur's younger brother.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who is thinking that AB is trying to "sell" himself to the highest bidder. It seems to me, this kid, is not a "going to class" kind of athlete, in that he will be a headache to deal with.

IF THAT IS THE CASE, I'm glad AB chopped us off his list. But I am begining to think, Nick Saban stopped recruiting after he learn something disturbing (don't know, but gut tells me something) about Arthur Brown and his "advisor." So, it would be a natural fit for AB going to Miami, if that is where he lands.

I just hope this "advisor" thing doesn't catch on nationally. Seems like Lang was an advisor type also. We all know were that got us. I hope that AB's advisor is legit, but i have my doubts. I'm sure the NZAA will watch this sort of thing and nip it in the bud if it becomes too widespread.

Well, buddy, if you guys get him, enjoy the boost in the recruiting rankings.

And then best of luck with all of the extra baggage he will be bringing to Baton Rouge.

If you guys want him, then take him. All I am saying is that I am glad that he is not coming to Tuscaloosa. I remember all too well what happened with the last player who came to Tuscaloosa that gave me this same feeling. I'm sure I'm not the only one either.
You do realize that if we DON'T get him...we're gonna say we didn't want him anyway, right?:PDT_popc1:

 Let's see he is really too small, and to slow too play in the SEC. After watching some games we backed off, and are actually recruiting some other players who fit our system better. :PDT_alc: I think those are the standard answer for ANY schools fans when a recruit doesn't choose their school. It's good to keep a sense of humour when dealing with 18 yr old kids sometimes. :biggrin2:

I wanted AB origionally since he is from my hometown. Now I wouldnt touch the kid.We dont need the trouble that he could bring down the road.He is no doubt a talent but hes untested. The competition in Kansas isnt what it is in other areas of the country.Good luck to whoever gets him.I hope he is long gone and in our rear view mirror.

I would much rather see Bama sign Jerrell Harris than Arthur Brown. If the choice is between those two. I have no idea what is going on with the Arthur Brown entourage or where they will end up.

I am with you there, Harris is a player and this guy seems to come with a lot of baggage. I love the recruiting side of college ball but this whole scene turns me off.

:BigA: RTR!

There you go....the early disclaimer, proof of many of the above statements.

The agent was not alone when he took AB's visit to Miami, his wife was with him. This recruitment is reduced scholarships waiting to happen, unless you're USC. Call it sour grapes or whatever you want.
