Well....that was one heck of a butt kicking by Vandy! In light of what I just witnessed, I've got to hand it to Gottfried, as vocal as I have been in my desire for change, at least we have been competitive and we've not lost to anyone by 40+ points.

That was one of the most unprepared teams I've ever seen. We've suffered a few ugly losses at Vanderbilt over the years, but nothing like that. Vanderbilt could have won that game by 60-70 points if they wanted to.

And we lost to that Kentucky team. That says volumes about us. I expect Vandy to whip us by 20. We have not been able to stop Foster...ever. He can shred zones and that is what CMG will use.

They had 3, three ,count them 1,2,3 field goals in the first half. Amazing.

I never thought I'd see UK only score 11 points in a half.

I know this sounds weird, but I'm not really a BB fan, so if Bama doesn't do well, UK would be #2. Their like the Alabama of basketball.

If I was a UK fan I would be sick. But honestly, we can fell their pain from our football side.

I did the same-not because I dislike Kentucky, but because I was fascinated that they could be that bad after starting 6-2 in conference play.

I heard Coach Newton on Finebaum night before last. When asked about the current state of Bama basketball he was very diplomatic and non-committal. What he didn't say spoke louder than what he did say.
