Uniform changes are ridiculous. NCAA needs to set a Uniform code.

I think the Oregon helmets and the uniforms are getting ridiculous. NCAA or the Conferences need to agree on a Uniform code. Like

  • You are only allowed 2 home and 2 away jerseys. as well as helmets
  • The Helmets cannot have glare, like the Rose bowl helmets, it can be a disadvantage.
What say you?

I wasn't really paying attention, but I thought I heard ABC say that the ducks would change uniforms at halftime in today's game .... so they'll play the first half and second half in two different uniform color schemes

I'd like a rule that, if you changed uniforms more than three times in a season, the next one would mandatorily have to include tutus... :D

No..it's the same uniform. The uniform will change colors as the sun goes down. Some kinda illusion effect.

I don't mind the uniform changes by Oregon. I hate the blue field at Boise State and think it's a major distraction.

Isn't Nike behind the Oregon uniform program?

How many college programs sport the Nike logo, including our own?

As it stands now, Nike pretty much rules college football with whatever they want to do.

My question...why do you need so many uniforms? One home and one away and maybe a special one for bowl games. I would like to see something done about duplicate numbers also...one number per player...I am old school.

Point I'm making is that as long as pockets are lined the NCAA doesn't care. Particularly where Oregon (and thus Nike) is concerned. They won't bother.
I totally agree, though I deplore the trends. However, it bemuses me that the pants in football and basketball are moving in opposite directions. While BB "shorts" have come to resemble Arabian harem concubines pantaloons, FB pants are getting shorter and tighter. I can only imagine that BB players will eventually look like dancers out of Scheherazade, FB players will end up in Aussie rules short shorts... :D

I said I didn't mind Oregon wearing different uniforms but changing at half time is taking it to the extreme. Shouldn't they be discussing adjustments rather than changing uniforms?

if you lose a game and blame it on the uniforms, you are an AUBURN fan or the equivalent of it. Its not they get to wear rocket boosters or machine guns. they're just chrome helmets. "you only won because your helmets reflect more light than ours" lame.

Again...they're NOT changing uniforms. The color of the uniforms will change as the sun sets. It's the material the unis are made out of.

The attention factor. It's been said multiple times... teams do the crazy uniforms because high school players love them. They couldn't care less what older fans think.

Like the NFL, college football is moving strongly toward promoting more speed. And thus a lot of essential equipment (like knee pads, butt pads, and in some cases, thigh pads) either aren't worn or there's a thin piece of material on just to say that you have one on. Shorter, tighter the pants, the faster you can move. *shrug*
