Updated Rivals 250

Don't see many significant changes. Of course the 101-250 rankings got shuffled, but not much else (no Bama verbals or top prospects were added or dropped). Upshaw gained .1 (to 5.9) on the Rivals Ranking and Bolton dropped .1 (to 5.8).

Plenty of moves in updated Rivals250
Rivals.com has updated its list of the top 250 high school football recruits in America, and the list features 11 new entries between 101-250.

The highest debut on the Rivals.com Rivals250 is Thomasville, N.C., athlete E.J. Abrams-Ward at No. 165. Seven other skill players - like Texarkana (Texas) Liberty-Eylau all-purpose back Lamichael James and Miami Northwestern receiver Tommy Streeter - also made nice jumps into the 250.

One of Bama's top prospects, OG Omoregie Uzzi is new to the list.

I'm really really surprised to not see Matchett get his 4th star. I figured that was a no-brainer.

I'm willing to bet that one or two of the current commits, along with Matchett, gain a star when they are updated. Billingsley and Square are two that come to mind.

Also, did anyone notice that Reggie Hunt dropped out of the 250?

I didnt see any Barn commits in the top 250, but the recruiting season is still young.

TJ Bryant fell all the way from 5 star status to 113th. Melvin ray fell out of the top 100 but Star jackson moved up to 126. William Green is all the way up to 37th.... he's got a shot at a fifth star at this rate.

Side note... Sam McGuffie fell alllllll the way to 197?? did something happen to him?

Ray was never in the 100. If I'm not mistaken, he was ranked just behind Star at 121 or 122. They both slid a couple of spots probably due to other players moving up in the rankings, not because of their performance this season.

I am really excited about seeing Melvin Ray play at Alabama. I've seen him in person and he is big, and physical. When you watch film on him you can see that he runs like a deer and is silky smooth in his breaks. When you talk about leaping ability, this guy is second to non, that includes julio jones. I've seen this kid do some ridiculous dunks over several D-1 players when he was a sophomore in high school. I think that he's going to see a lot of playing time next year as a true freshman. I think next year saban is going to look at the current receivers listed on the roster, which will include several returning players and several freshmen, and he is going to make the job wide open. The key is, we will have depth, and talent on the bench that can come in and make plays when someone is tired without a dropoff whatsoever in ability. If JPW can kepp working as hard at practice and keep studying this offense, then it could be pretty deadly next year, not to mention the defense should have some more depth everywhere too, which always helps

How good do we look at getting Green?
