Upsets for Week 1

  • La Tech over an SMU program distracted by wealthy alumni doing their best to reincarnate the era of Governor Clements (using their money to buy program relevance).
  • North Texas over Cal, another distracted program without a Power 5 home; also provided Colorado its only 2022 win.
  • Nebraska over Minnesota (sorry @81usaf92 )

Well I usually start this thread so here goes.

USCe upsets UNC - I don't think this will look like an upset by the end of the year
Florida upsets Utah
Florida State upsets lsu
Those are some good upset picks based upon historical results of those matchups. If Utah's QB Cam Rising is able to play the opener however then I think Utah wins.

I like it. It definitely would be a shocker.
Being they are 21 point underdogs, yes it would be. But TCU lost a lot, and can be had. Colorado has the corners to shut down the TCU pass game, so I wouldn’t be surprised.

IMO, FSU beating lsu wouldn't be an upset. FSU beat them last year when they probably should have loss. FSU returns key players and is ranked #8 and many expect them to win the ACC. I actually expect the noles to win.
The game is in Orlando, Florida, basically a home game for FSU.

Colorado over TCU and I think Duke gives Clemson a really big scare...

lsu is favored, so fsu winning would be an upset right now. end of the year, it probably won't look like an upset.

I like Beamer, and they finished the year hot.

I also think Colorado covers the spread on TCU and then some

I think clemson will be better than recent years with new OC and QB

If there is a major upset anywhere, I would pencil in West Virginia over Penn state
