Didn't see the last two minutes, but media says Nutt kept his first team in and went for the score. His lame excuse... Bama could have comeback and scored 10 points. He's done this before in other games with the same lame excuse. Not a lot of class I'm sad to say.
As to those complaining about the officiating in this game. Get over it. Bama is above excuses. Arky "Fans" and media use officiating as an excuse for every loss. They are still complaining about officiating the Texas game of the 60's.

Thanks for the post Hawg. I agree that Nutt was classless in that final score, but I truly expect little more from him nowadays.

Your team played a solid game, capitalizing on our mistakes. Had three or four plays gone a little differently, who knows what the final score would've been...

I believe that taking a knee, or simply running the ball would have accomplished the same objective (winning the game), perhaps even better than throwing it. If the Hogs had simply run the ball, they would have retained possession of the ball for the rest of the game, and reduced the odds of some weird series of plays that could, by some extremely remote turn of events, allowed Alabama to score. Instead Houston Nutt threw the ball with the game already put away. It sure seemed like a little salt in the wound to me. But Alabama won't be dealing with scholarship restrictions forever. I think Coach Shula has already shown this year in the Ole Miss game, what we will do when he has the ball and a comfortable lead. It's the safe, and the sportsmanlike, thing to do.
