I have been to several bama games in the past and have always splurged and bought lower level seats. I'm going to try to come to at least two games this year and with gas prices and all going up (I live in Baton Rouge)I thought I would save some money and sit in the upper level this year. I was wondering how the view was from up there. If anybody could help me out I would appreciate it. If you had some pictures from the upper levels that would be awesome too.

Taken this past season prior to the Vandy game from the south endzone upper deck. Taken on my iPhone, so not the greatest quality, but it gets the point across.

I've been in U4-NN for around 13-14 years. It's a hike; but the view is great You get a view of the whole field, the whole stadium and the fly-bys are really cool.

I guess Ive probably sat all over the place in that grand palace that is BDS and have never complained about the view from any where in the place. The only comparison is this...in the lower bowl, you feel like you are part of the game, a factor in the outcome depending on how much noise you make. In the uppers, you get more of a sense of admiration for the stadium and what is taking place below. The difference between manager and worker bee, if that makes sense. Both are great feelings, IMHO.

The view is never bad.

Top row tenant here. We sit in row 30 in U4-BB. It is a hike to get there of course, but otherwise no complaints. We love that we stay in the shade the majority of the time because of the overhang (not too many spots in the shade in the east deck), and we're also protected from rain. I bought some binoculars from last year which are nice for seeing some details, but I also like just getting the whole picture.

I was in the next to top row in the South end zone for the Tennessee game last year. We were looking down on the west side awnings. I saw red and white dots move around on a small green placemat. Couldn't hear the crowd or see the game. I don't think I'd make the trip and spend all that money for that again. It is better on the east or west side.

Here's a view from U4-BB, just above the tunnel that comes out into the stadium, north side of the section.

I was three rows from the top of the endzone at the North Texas game. It is indeed a great view and I was excited as hell since it was my first time at BDS. However being old and out of shape like I am I was hoping there was an oxygen station about halfway up and my wife said if it came down to it she would pee in her pants before making that trip back down (thankfully that didn't happen) but still would sit there again.

I've had season tickets in the east uppers for the past 7 or 8 seasons. My only complaint EVER is the heat, but I've learned to dress appropriately, wear my sunscreen and make sure I've got my shades and a hat on. There used to be more of a comfortable breeze up there, but with both endzones now closed in, there's rarely any relief from the breeze now.

Besides that, I love my seats! I like being able to see the plays develop. I like my view of the jumbotrons for replays. The concessions and restrooms are easy to get to (can't say that for some school's stadium uppers). All in all, I'd rather have my seats than be stuck too low in the lower bowl. Down there, anything below row 15 used to irritate me because it was too difficult to tell what was happening on the field due to the view.

I'll pile on the overall sentiment of the replies.....I prefer the upper deck (low to middle rows). Great views, see the plays develop, see the action as it unfolds, and not too far away at all.
