For those that do not know, Parker is a walk-on WR from American Academy in Northport. He's entering his senior year.

Awesome & Congrats..That means he's got a chance to earn PT if he's earned a full ride..I would love to see him make it into our depth & get PT next year..

With 26 or 27 commitments, do we have the numbers to play with to remain at 85? Oh well, I guess Coach knows what he's doing!

It is nice to see a walk-on receive a scholarship. I'm sure it is well deserved.

I remember when I first heard his name, think it was 2013 (Maybe A&M game?), and I wondered, "Who the heck is that?". I couldn't understand how, with all of Bama's talent at WR, somebody I had never even heard of (obviously not a recruit) was playing in a tight game. Now I know why.

We have a few Juniors going pro that free up the numbers.
But we don't have that big of a senior class. Of course, the thing with Freitag opened up a scholarship, but some guys we think are on scholarship must be paying their own way.

Question: In all sincerity, how many schools would have turned this into a PR opportunity? I know I've seen it with UT and a couple of others where they video it and "seed it out" to social media. But this is "perfectly Saban". Picks up the phone, calls Parker and says "Congrats, kid your in. Let's go to work". No fanfare. No tug at the heart strings.

And this is why I love our Coach. Rewarding the young man with a scholarship was about "Parker and the program" not "look what I'm doing". Expectation: Work hard. Do the next right thing. Good things happen.
