Nice try but not even close to being the same thingDo you yell "USA USA USA" when watching the Olympics? I am just curious.

13-0 Alabama isn’t getting left out. So it matters notThis would be awful for our strength of schedule. Our out of conference games are already bad enough.

I agree but SEC teams losing out of conference games doesn't help us. It didn't with auburn last year.Meh, a 13-0 Alabama isn't getting left out, unless they look awful getting there.
They will sing songs and will have parades when our empire starts to regress, just like they did in our dark ages. So what should we care if the fields of our conquered people’s burn. Let the peasants have their conference pride in the shadow of our empire while we add trophies to our dynasty. We gotta keep it down home, Cuz. LOL. Yes, that is how I look at it. 4-8 is as good as 0-12 as far as I am concerned.
Auburn was in a shoe in game for a playoff spot after losing to Clemson and a real bad LSU team.I agree but SEC teams losing out of conference games doesn't help us. It didn't with auburn last year.

I'll take my chances. Never pulling for the teams that actively participated in an attempt at the destruction of Alabama football. Never.I agree but SEC teams losing out of conference games doesn't help us. It didn't with auburn last year.
I hear you. Having a good schedule gives you more leeway in the event of a loss and we have benefited from that lately because of SEC strength. I might not like the other SEC schools but I think it helps us for them to win (as long as we beat them).I'll take my chances. Screw them all, I hate the SEC.
You say that, but last year the SEC was incredibly mediocre - what got Bama in was the way they dominated the inferior teams (the way they're supposed to) throughout the season. The "SEC gauntlet" had little to do with it. Bamam played a real schedule (primarily FBS teams) and won almost all fo them - that means something, even when the SEC blows.I hear you. The perception of the SEC did. What other conference would get 2 teams in the playoffs? If Bama wins every game by 1 point and goes 13-0. There is zero chance they dont get in. I dont care if four other teams go 13-0 and win every game by 50.Meh, a 13-0 Alabama isn't getting left out, unless they look awful getting there.

Yet we had Vandy talking trash this past year about us. In what world should Vandy be talking smack against Bama?I’m a Company Man. I pull for SEC against everyone. I hate the Barn and won’t shed a tear when they get their tail whooped, but I hear those dopes on the radio all the time talking all that trash about the SEC. The last thing I want is 13 weeks of ACC and Pac12 fluff pieces because their best best mid tier SEC teams. I want SEC dominance so every week is worth something to my team, not a notch on a bed post.
Well, pretty close to me. We don't have to love or even like all fifty states, nor do we have to love or like all fourteen SEC teams. I loathe one state in particular but I still cheer for the USA just as I cheer for the SEC SEC SEC.Nice try but not even close to being the same thing
So true. Mostly we hear the SEC doesn't play nine conference games, they play cupcakes. And they cheat. But ……. But …… But let Washington or Louisville or Texas Tech beat one of us and suddenly these teams are AWESOME and deserve to be in the playoff. Hmmmm.I’m a Company Man. I pull for SEC against everyone. The next time I yell "SEC" will be the first time. You can yell “SEC SEC SEC”, but I’m hoping for a 1-13 opening week showing for the SEC ( Bama being the only win).
We aren't those schools. Those schools aren't on top of the mountain like us so jealousy is expected. Message boards are a special place designated for the most rabid of fans and they most certainly don't represent to opinions of the entire base of SEC fandom just like I am most certain that All Alabama fans don't argue over who should be our QB at the beginning of last season. I live in the Louisiana Delta where I have family friends, acquaintances of so many difference SEC schools. I have Aggie, Tigger, Gamecock, Black Bear and Bulldog friends that I talk to on a weekly basis and the general consensus is Conference over others. What makes the SEC so much more dominant than the others is the fact that we have a plethora of National Contenders year in and year out. Alabama will have lulls which allows schools like LSU, Auburn, and others to win NT instead of the USC, OSU and FSU's of the world. That parity gives us considerable leeway when we do slip up, our chances of a playoff aren't completely dashed. If we have a great team but a crappy conference, none of our conference games would be worth watching and I certainly wouldn't want that. As for the independent statement, surely you do jest.... The SEC is the Crimson Tide and one cannot exist without the other. Go ask Notre Dame about how wonderful being an Independent is.Yet we had Vandy talking trash this past year about us. In what world should Vandy be talking smack against Bama?
Seriously go to an SEC forum and look back to any thread about “who are you cheering for in the SECCG, Semi finals, and NCG” and see how few would put conference over hate for Bama. I’m not talking about Vols, Auburn, UGA, and LSU boards, I’m talking about all 13. Personally I would almost be in favor of going independent instead of sticking to the SEC.
Not me. I want Auburn and UT to lose. I do not care about the rest. You can yell “SEC SEC SEC”, but I’m hoping for a 1-13 opening week showing for the SEC ( Bama being the only win).
