Weather thread...

We’re between 1st and 2nd set. It has cooled down from 99 to 82. 100% humidity though. My guitar neck is sticky no matter what I do. You just have to adjust. Brutal day to have been outside since 2:20. 🥵

I lived in Nassau Bay down by the Space Center and about half way between Houston and Galveston from 1968 to 1970 and I remember that the two summers there were brutal. And we moved there from the Space Coast of Florida, not exactly a cold-weather area. On the other hand, in 1970 we moved to central Illinois, which I can assure you IS a cold weather area! But that got to look at southern colleges and that led me to UA, so the freezing was worth it.

It's started raining pretty good already...but not much wind at this point. The question here is whether this storm will center west of I 95 or east of it. If east then we get hit harder. The main problem here will be the storm surge combined with a "larger moon" and larger high tides. Tonight through early morning should be our major threat...

Watching some of the coverage this morning and looks like a struggle to keep up the hype....lol.....

"Storm surge....broken branches....flooded roads......etc." They keep SAYING this but are not SHOWING any.

You know I'm GLAD it wasn't worse, seriously.

Good "dress rehearsal" for everyone because we still have 3 more months of hurricane season left!
