I saw CFL on ESPN before the game last night and saw that Granny Lou is still butt-hurt over the BCSNCG, he was blathering on about how Ohio State's problems were easier to fix vs. the problems he saw with Bama. Mark Mays was almost falling out of his chair as usual. Granny almost had a stroke when Mays said he sees ND as a 9-10 win team (Granny informed him they were an 11-12 win team) :)

How in the world did we make it all summer without this comedy gold...
 
So long as we just win I dont think we will fall lower than #2 all season given that we are on the verge of a historical accomplishment. However, if do lose one I think we fall to the lower half of the top ten because the voting public will just want to see anybody in the NCG besides Bama...

Mark May is either a very good actor, or he really dislikes Holtz. The look of contempt on his face every time Holtz speaks is uncomfortable to watch, and he has this look on his face even when he agrees with what Holtz is saying.

That's AWESOME. He totally has the "Get off my lawn!!!" look, which is funny because you'd expect Holtz to do that :p

I think May is very objective while Lou absolutely never has anything at all good to say about Bama unless it's finally just beaten into him like last years NCG. I think May finds that to almost be a joke which it's rapidly becoming, and i think he just gets flat out disgusted with Lou's ignorance.

May knows football in my opinion, but it definitely seems like Holtz has lost it.
 
The Tide should be 1 all the way. Clemson is making a strong case with consecutive wins over LSU and UGA.
 
Bob Asmussen of Champaign, Illinois, had us #2 behind Ohio State, which is what he had in the preseason poll.

Doug Lesmerises of the Cleveland Plain-Dealer had us #3 behind Clemson and LSU.

The guy from Baton Rouge who had Georgia #1 now has us at the top.
