We continue to improve as a team heading further into the season. I’d like to see the offense continue to progress mainly getting the ball snapped better and throwing the ball away so it does negate forward drives. Defines confining to play fast and get turnovers.

A&M will present a challenge defensively up front but if we have time I expect you will see Milroe throw as well as you’ve seen all season. Roll Tide!!

We need a clean turnover free game. Take away the run and not let Jimbo kill us dinking and dunking with backs and TE’s. I think his QB has some TO’s in him if we get after him.

Winner has the inside track for the SEC West. These are the type of games the big boys step up. Hope we play our best.

I tend to start each week feeling very positive and letting worry seep in until Saturday, but for some reason I'm starting off feeling like we have zero chance. Kyle field, A&M playing much better, this is their Super Bowl-Hope I'm wrong.

Offense HAS to give our D solid breathers throughout the game. Gonna be warm and I expect Petrino to empty his bag o' tricks

This is a measuring stick game and will go a long way toward determining the kind of season we have this year. We HAVE the talent and coaching it takes to win--where the game will be decided imo is player execution on our Oline and with our qb.

Agree on the breathers. Looks like high of 74 deg though.

Is anyone going to the game? I'll be in section 131. Looking forward to a great game!

Aggie here. Enjoy your trip! I left tips in another thread. But to summarize, if this is your first trip to Aggieland:
  • Take in Midnight Yell Friday night. It's "weird" to an outside observer - remember Texas A&M was an all-male military college as recently as 1965, fully co-ed by 1975. The traditions stayed, so much of what you see at Midnight Yell and even on gameday inside Kyle Field have a root in those "Ol Army" days, even if they look odd today. Opposing fans are often found in the wings watching Midnight Yell, even though it's "for Aggies."
  • Pre-Game: Walk around tailgates on gameday - Seriously, you'll find Aggies a hospitable bunch and often opposing fans are welcomed at random tailgates for food and libations.
  • Just Prior to Game: 1 1/2 hours before kickoff - March In - If you are a fan of gameday pageantry, head to the north endzone outside of Kyle Field, near the Memorial Student Center and watch the 2,400 member Corps of Cadets "March In", behind the 400+ member Aggie Band.
  • Inside Kyle Field: Then get to your seats early, about 45 mins before kick. Entry is pretty easy, so not for the lines or anything, but take in the atmosphere. I'm sure the atmosphere will be lively for the Bama game. While I wouldn't expect you to "get into" our alma mater and hearing the Aggie War Hymn, if you're simply a fan of traditions and college football atmospheres in general, you will like hearing it (I once had a Clemson fan sitting next to me say they get why the War Hymn gets us going and actually swayed with us). The Aggie Band version of the National Anthem should give you chills.
  • Halftime: Don't leave your seats at halftime - We've sent the Aggie Band to Tuscaloosa, but our travelling band is smaller than the full Aggie Band. Again, I presume you are a fan of pageantry - you'll enjoy seeing the College Station version.
Welcome to Aggieland!

PS - For those that simply like history, though obviously Aggies and "sips" are mortal enemies, this scrolled in my YouTube to remind me of the 1999 Halftime in Kyle Field. It's the only time I will ever give credit where it's due to them. They had us in tears with their rendition of Amazing Grace in honor of the 12 Aggies we lost in the Bonfire Tragedy. If you enjoy learning about your opponents, a trip to the Bonfire Memorial may be good.

Don't. It's not for opposing fans, and you'll just be angered at the old fashioned hokiness and poking fun at your team that you love.

I'll be staying around Houston with my brother and drive in that morning. So that's a pass for me.

It will be interesting to see if we barely beat A&M as an unranked team, do they then become the highest ranked 2-loss team(currently #23 LSU).
