Not much doubt about the outcome in this one. Just have to avoid any serious injuries, but that comes down to luck. Hopefully we have a nice lead at halftime and can rest some starters to lower the risk. Saban says Vandy was the easiest place to play on the road so the crowd will be mostly a non-factor.

Agree. Plus, there will probably be a lot of Bama fans there and the stadium is currently only allowing about 28,000 total during the renovations they are still doing to the stadium area.

Just hope we win big (at least a 20 point win) with no injuries and that the backups get quality playing time in the 4th quarter.

I don't know. I think they cover easily. THis isn't Saban team anymore.
Frankly, I do not think Saban ever coached a team to a flat performance. That usually has something to do with the other team and, just maybe, a little to do with the players on your own roster caught up in themselves, press clippings and social media telling them how great they are. More specifically, my comment was about making money and if I were a betting man I'd stay away from this one to hedge the potential flat performance phenomenon.

I don't think we'll be flat. But we likely will see the run game more than last week. So the game complexion could look different.

After reading Jess's Vandy report, it seems the 'Dores have a better run defense than pass defense. I will imagine that we will hit them where they are the weakest. Coach DeBoer doesn't seem to be a guy who likes to bang his head against the wall just for the sake of proving something. I hope we continue to develop the passing game but also show the ability to run when we want. We are still getting stuffed too often on short yardage.

Missouri rushed for 216. I think Bama will test the run early. They haven't seen an OL like we have, and probably don't have a lot of depth.

Yes he has.

I understand that, and I'm saying that I don't see anything that suggest not to touch this one. we'll find out tomororw.

Maybe I don’t understand what you’re saying

but almost every Iron Bowl (and plenty of LSU games), we played flat, presumably because he coached the energy out of them instead of embracing it

I’d rather him be that way than to risk losing games we should dominate, but him not having anything to do with the team being flat feels like a stretch. Saban was way more “make your bed and lie in it” than he gets credit for
