U Conn is really good. We need to make at least 20 threes, and run them to death. Maybe someone like Nelson will get hot, and light them up. Our best game needs to be Saturday.

This made me think about the UCONN v Creighton game again to get an idea how they were successful with the win. Check out the box score ...
Seton Hall beat them with 3 three pointers.

Bama just needs to play their game and give strong effort on defense and rebounds. Forget about the last play and do what needs done right now.

Only one block, with that Klingon in the middle...

Edit: I think I remember he missed most of the 2nd half with an ankle. Still, that 3/16 on threes is also an eye-catcher...

Good stuff. I agree with two major things:

1. We can play our game, not necessarily having to adjust to theirs, and win the game. Gotta have a very good night shooting, but that's our game. This is not the game to trade twos and eek it out in the end like we did in several conference games. But if we run our offense and shoot well from 3 land we can win this game.

2. You never know which "teammate" might step up and have a "big game." That's a great point they discussed about who has done that in this run. It's almost entirely impossible to pick who it might be. Wrightsell hasn't had the big game in the tourney yet (for obvious reasons) but he could contribute 10-15 points very easily if he gets his minutes (and the offense works better with him on the floor than off it). It could be a guy like Estrada who normally gets his points at the rim but he could go off from 3. It could be the lanky left-hander Sam Walters who goes off for 15-20. Or it could be Stephenson again. We need a game like that from a guy or two in these last two games to keep winning. It's been the "winning formula" so far.

Exactly ... their lack of makings 3s us what stood out the most to me as well. They will get their points but if we do our best to shut down their 3s AND make more than they do on our end ... I think we turn the Tide on the game.

4 each for wrightsell, stevenson, griffen, 6 for sears, 1 for estrada and nelson. If we want to win, 20 need to down. Definitely possible and I believe
Possible; but they defend the 3 the line well and have only given up 18-80 on 3's/22% in the four tournament games, total. We need 12-15. And, CANNOT have a lot of early turnovers.
RTR!
