Omnibus Thread on SEC Tournament...

  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

I like this breakdown. He’s using the Torvik rating for his chart.

I especially like the contrast he draws between, for example, Bama and Houston.

Houston , great floor, low ceiling.

Bama, lower floor, but higher ceiling.

So in essence a team like Houston is going to obliterate lesser opponents, but against the Auburns and Dukes of the world would lose more often than not.

Meanwhile Alabama may lose to a lesser opponent, but when they’re on could obliterate an Auburn or Duke type opponent.

Jim Larranaga has stepped down as Miami's men's basketball coach, the school announced Thursday.

Larranaga, who turned 75 in October, took over at Miami in 2011. In his 14 seasons at the helm, he led the Hurricanes to six NCAA tournaments and four Sweet 16 appearances -- including a Final Four run in 2023. Miami went 11-6 in NCAA tournament games during Larranaga's tenure and won two ACC regular-season championships.

Veteran assistant Bill Courtney has been appointed interim head coach for the remainder of the season.

Welp at Rupp was just a little too much to overcome.

Thanks, Dub.

We played a very good team......so hats off to the Cats for getting the win.

Not making any excuses.....but we sure didn't help ourselves at the charity stripe. Make those FT's and we don't need to do all that fouling at the end there.

Anyhoo......overall a great start to conference play and look forward to much more from all these games!
