Not on my list but "Heaven Can Wait" was also a good one.....

And for those not listing "We Are Marshall" - you've either never seen it, forgot about it when making your list, or saw it and forgot how good it really was. I have it at #1.

YMMV....

Maybe this should be a list that includes movies where they actually semi sort of played the game.......... 😁

But in no particular order

We Are Marshall
Remember The Titans
M*A*S*H
The Longest Yard (The Original where JAWS says "I broke his friggin neck" 😁)
The Replacements (and the best motivational Half-Time Speech since The Gipper)
Jimmy McGinty "Listen up! By this time tomorrow the strike will be officially over and you men will be out of a job. Up until now Dallas hasn't been afraid of you, and they should be because you have a powerful weapon working for you. There is no tomorrow for you, and that makes you all very dangerous people!"

There are some really good football movies and then there are some that I am not sure the writers/cast/producers have even seen an actual football game.

Baseball is far easier to write apparently. “Field of Dreams” and “money ball” may be two of the best sports movies of all time.
I think Bull Durham is the best baseball movie of all time — “Rose goes in the front, son.”

The Natural is close.

And I know I’m a minority of one (neither the first time nor the last), but I never “got” Field of Dreams.
