I am from Alabama and usto watch Bama games when they came on, I was wondering what happend to this guy. I liked him a lot for some reason, but it seemed like he just disappeared. Did he go pro?

Monday August 04, 2003: LB Daniels withdraws from Alabama

Alabama linebacker Brooks Daniels has withdrawn from school and will sit out his senior season for undisclosed medical reasons, coach Mike Shula said Monday.

DeMeco Ryans took over his spot.

Apparently he was never drafted, and consensus is that he should have stayed at Alabama for his final year of eligibility.

And that's how legends are born. DeMeco is a helluva ball player. One must wonder, what if Brook didn't sit out his senior year. Would DeMeco have gotten the exposure? Funny how things like this create opportunities for others.
