What has the traffic been like coming from Birmingham on gamedays this year with the reduced capacity? I have been blessed with a ticket to the iron bowl, but we are doing Thanksgiving lunch at 11 am at my parents' house in Birmingham. If I left at 1230 would I be able to make it in time? I'm parking at the campus drive parking deck.

We went on Saturday to the Kentucky game and traffic was non existent and we were traveling from the Birmingham area. You couldn't even tell that a game was being played until you got about a block or two from the stadium. Very different game day atmosphere. We typically leave the house about 6 hours before kick off in order to grab a bite to eat somewhere and park where we want to. We left 4 hours before kick-off on Saturday, stopped for lunch, and was still down there and parked 2 hours before the game. You should be ok leaving at 12:30 this Saturday.
