What music are you diggin'?

Game of Thrones season 7 trailer has me all amped up so I'm hitting the soundtracks. Probably the best piece of music ever on there:

St Anger was garbage, but I like Death Magnetic and the latest Hardwired to Self Destruct.

Completely agree on St Anger. Death Magnetic was just okay by me (The Day That Never Comes stood out and rest was decent but didn't grab me).

This is coming from someone that loved 90% of the songs off most their albums so having just 1-2 great songs is a bit of a letdown even though for most bands 1-2 songs on an album is all I ask. So probably a bit hypocritical of me.

The Day That Never Comes is by far the best song from Death Magnetic

My brother-in-law has a device bought off Amazon called "Alexa" I think that's what it is. Very cool. You just ask it to play any song you want. It does cost around 8 dollars per month and works over your wireless internet.
You can even sing a few bars and it will usually find the song. Also will answer a few simple questions.

Do a youtube search for Amazon Alexa Tells Little Boy to Look for Porn. Amusing and scary at the same time.

Love those Australians....best people in the world......

Filmed in the beautiful NSW Southern Highlands at the Heritage Fitzroy Inn Mittagong, and on the escarpment overlooking the Illawarra.

I've been listening to some Allman Bros. all afternoon. I hadn't listened to " Not My Cross to Bear" in a while and it just sounded so good. Greg will be missed.

Marley and The Wailers released "Exodous" 40 yrs ago today.

Here's a live version from 1978

Was listening to an interview on the radio (NPR) this morning (I think) with his son, Ziggy. Didn't get to listen to a lot of it unfortunately but was real interesting talking about the early days....

Grew up with Herb Alpert playing from Dad's Capehart console in our living room....here's to you, Dad....
