What's the story behind your TideFans name?

Well, if you live in Vidalia or Natchez you're from the MissLou, if you're in the Louisiana delta its ArkLaMiss. It's ArkLaTex on the Shreveport side.

I'm an LSU fan from Central Louisiana (Pineville to be exact).....Therefore CenLA Tiger.

I've participated in a lot of blogs over the years and developed a habit of using names from secondary characters in well known movies. Lazlo Hollyfeld is from one of Val Kilmer's first movies, he was played by Napolean Dynamite's Uncle Rico.

Ok. No takers on the guess.
Al Becker was a character disussed but never seen on the Andy Griffith show.
Obviously like Mayberry a few pages back, I'm a fan of the show.
To elaborate further on Al:
Al Becker. From "A Date for Gomer." Andy starts telling a funny story about Al Becker and his dog, but stops when he realizes nobody else knows Al. We never did find out what happened to Al Becker and his big collie dog

So Al finally turned up. Now where's your dog?:D

My last name is Yow. My track teammates in high school called me "Yowski" as a nickname. Back then, the message boards on al.com were the only outlets you had for talking high school sports. Around that same time, the movie "The Big Lebowski" came out...so I came up with the moniker, "theBIGyowski" to use on the al.com forums. The username has stuck with me for well over a decade now.

I'm not very creative. My name is Johnny. BamaJ. Not a great story, but the truth. Roll Tide!!!

I used to sell Herbalife products and when I registered for a username it wouldn't take the first 10+ names. So out of frustration/trying to be funny I just typed out subherbanite and it took it. I now roll with that everywhere.

Sorry I've failed to post any follow-up comments. Hurricane Irene knocked me off the air for a few days. Power was restored today in my neighborhood in Williamsburg.

Thanks greatly to everyone who has responded to this thread!! It makes me feel as though I know my fellow Tide fans a bit better than before. You're no longer a cryptic internet name... There's a real person behind that name. :)

I graduated from UNA and we are the Lions, so I couldn't think of anything creative and just went with Lions. Going to UNA I could be a Bama fan and not have to worry about playing Bama unless the rare basketball or baseball game came up.
