What's your prediction for the Final Four?

1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. Oklahoma
4. Notre Dame

I think they pick Oklahoma over Ohio State due to their more "quality loss" to Texas (vs. Purdue), and they avenged that loss yesterday. Notre Dame gets bumped down to #4 due to not having a conference championship. Georgia not included due to having 2 losses and not being a conf. champ. Looking at full body of work.

I hope its

Bama
Clemson
ND
OU

then we get Kyler v Tua. who knows? maybe ND pulls the upset on clemson and we get another sweet NC victory over ND. I do respect Clemson and think they are a better team tho. I'm just not sure i want Bama V Clemson 4.

I think it will be:

1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. Notre Dame
4. Oklahoma

Oklahoma avenged their one loss. I wouldn't be shocked if Georgia is in though.

I like our chances, either way.

I think this is what should happen. I think that they will stick OU in the fourth spot, though, and leave ND at three.

I'm going with:
1. Bama
2. Clemson
3. OU
4. OSU

5. Notre Dame
6. Georgia

Can't leave OU out as they've definitely earned it on the field. Can't leave the B1G champ out for the 3rd straight year. If you just sat down today and looked at each team's resume those conference championships would carry a lot of weight. Playing, and surviving, a conference schedule should carry a lot of weight.

1.Bama
2.Clemson
3. Oklahoma
4. ND

Fiesta: UCF vs UF
Peach: LSU vs Michigan
Rose: Washington vs Ohio St
Sugar: Georgia vs West Virginia

Honestly, there are only 2 teams that are 100% locks...Alabama and Clemson and this is why I think an 8 team playoff is necessary. To leave a decision on allocating 2 spots out of 4 worthy teams to human subjective reasoning is a flawed process. Whichever teams are left out are simply at the mercy of said process.

My guess, also, and I hope that you are right about the other games because I would watch all of them. I would not be surprised to see the committee leave ND at 3, but they probably move them back to 4.

I agree, but we just had play in games. IMO, GA lost the play in game and is out. So, IMO, we are now down to 3 teams which deserve to be in those last 2 spots. IMO, Notre Dame is the team that doesn't belong. But they are getting in, so my Buckeyes move on to the Rose Bowl. I am fine with that.

I would never use this to argue for a bigger playoff pool, just as I didn't last year. As long as we have conference championship games as play in games, a field of four is sufficient. This is the only way that every game matters. With a larger field, the Purdue game does not matter. With a larger field, the SECCG does not matter. I do not want that for this sport.

I'm torn and to be completely honest, it's really hard to be unbiased in this:

1. I'd rather us play the "easiest" two teams.
2. I don't want to play Georgia again, although I think if we clean up our gameplan and mistakes we'd win.
3. I don't want to play OU. Yeah, yeah, yeah I know they don't have a defense, but their offense would challenge us and puts some pressure on our offense.

That said: Here's what I hope:

1. Bama
2. Clemson
3. OSU
4. ND

But here's what I think and will be surprised if it's not:

1. Bama
2. Clemson
3. ND
4. OU

If it is OU is the semis, I think it's best we play them in that slot so we have more time to prepare. Playing Clemson and/or ND in the finals will be the easier game plan on a short turnaround.

I thought UGA is one of the four best teams...but that blow out loss to LSU can’t be overlooked. Also who have they beat this year? Kentucky, Florida, down Auburn team. Last year they had ND and the SEC. I think they drop ND to 4, get a rematch of a championship game. And Clemson/OU get a rematch of a semifinal.

It's gonna be
1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. Notre Dame
4. Oklahoma

Only question is if some of us here are right and we play in Miami not Dallas

1. Alabama 2. Clemson 3. Oklahoma 4. Notre Dame

I agree with the 4 teams and if I were picking I'd move ND down to #4. Heck I'd move ND to #5 or even #6 and let them contemplate their independent status.

Because the tie breakers are head to head, common opponents, and conference championships

1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. Oklahoma
4. Ohio State
5. Georgia
6. Notre Dame

Ohio State beats Notre Dame Out because of two of the three tie breakers: Northwestern ( ND 31-21; Ohio State 45-24 also Championship Game ; Michigan (Ohio State 62-39; ND 24-17) As stated ND is part of no power 5 Conference therefore no championship games. No impressive wins over top ten teams. Statement from Comittee ND join a conference stop playing cupcake schedules ... a 24-17 over 6-5 USC DOESNT get it... also 22-17 win over Vanderbilt ?

If if they follow the four best teams this should be the outcomes. Sorry Georgia close but no cigar.

I do agree that ND ought to only be #4. Put OU or GA at #3 and let Clemson deal with them.

Again, I just don't want to play Georgia again in the semis (3 times in one year???) or OU.

4. Notre Dame

I agree with this line up. Georgia with 2 losses is just too much to get in and Ohio State's big loss to Purdue can't be ignored.

I cannot see ranking a two loss Georgia, one loss a blowout on the road and the other a large blown lead effectively at home, over a one loss OU or OSU, or over an undefeated ND. I suspect Georgia is out of the conversation pretty quickly. The committee will most likely recognize that Bama was not clicking on all cylinders yesterday because of poor accuracy from Tua, poor OL play, dropped balls, 2 interceptions at the goal line, and fumbles. If Bama/Georgia were to play again it would probably be like the Bama/LSU rematch.

tOSU has not only the bad loss to Purdue, but a handful of lackluster wins and a less than dominant win over NW yesterday so OU will get the nod.

I listened to the Texas/OU game on the OU network yesterday and Texas was in that game late so I don’t think OU will jump ND even though I thought so earlier in the week. So:

Alabama
Clemson
ND
OU

I vehemently oppose expanding the field to 8 teams and 16 games for the reasons B1G outlined above. If you didn’t make the final four, then you should have won more games. Thanks for playing and enjoy your bowl game.

I think the #5 team should play the Access Bowl team (UCF) in a bowl game.
