My expectation is a final four , disappointed if less than an elite 8, so I guess that’s what I will be happy with, an elite 8.

This IS a Final Four roster without question. But the tournament is so often about playing your best and getting “hot” at the right time. And seeding, draws and matchups. Given how we were playing at the end of last season, who would have thought this would have been the year of historic Final Four run?

I guess an Elite Eight would be my minimum expectation.

so many things have to go right for a deep run in the ncaa tournament……which did go right for us this past season. Barring major injuries this upcoming year I don’t see why we can’t go back to atleast the final four again. And win the whole dang thing too

Is "win the SEC" included in all selections? (tournament or regular season?)

I'll be a little disappointed and not so happy in not winning the SEC regular season. Some teams get a little better break in the SEC schedule (e.g. the top two contenders could play only once so home team gets an advantage). I think a regular SEC win is bigger than an SEC tournament win; I hope for both.

The tournaments can be so fickle.

For NCAA, I'm going with Elite 8. There is disappointment in any tournament loss but the happiness level should still be there if Bama loses prior to Final Four or Championship. After the season cranks up and we get a good look at how the team progresses, I may change to NCAA Champion or bust.

I know it doesn't have to be an either/or type of thing but right now I feel like I'd easily trade not winning any kind of SEC Title to get back to the Final Four again or further.

That would be more satisfying to me than say winning a Double SEC Title again but getting bounced in the Sweet 16 which we have done before and it's not fun.

The 2017 Football season kind of changed my stance on this too when we lost the IB, missed the SECCG. but then won the NCG.

I didn't care we lost to AU because we won the Ultimate prize.

I want to win a NC in BB and would easily sacrifice Conf. accomplishments.

Lol.... me too but I can't say I'd be too disappointed if we made another Final Four.

I think we can win a NC but the 1st step is probably consistently making deep runs of the Elite 8 or better and eventually one year you break through.

Me too and I’m hanging on by a thread.

I’ve already accepted that being a Bama fan is being a Pro Sports fan now.

The players are Pro’s and the Portal is Free Agency.

But I’ve been a Bama fan my whole life basically and I’ll still keep track of how the teams are doing….Just with waaaaay less emotional attachment.

This team has the talent to win it all.

So did the 1975-76 and 1985-86 teams. In a single-elimination tournament, anything can happen.

Given our lack of rim protection / an inside enforcer, I actually thought we slightly over-achieved this past season getting to the Final Four.

Still, I’ll be disappointed if we don’t make the final eight In 2024-25. Beyond that, it’s so unpredictable….you just don’t know.

I voted "win it all" but that's just aspirational. If we stay relatively injury-free, we have the talent; especially if we get anything close to the favorable draw we got this past year. I'd really like to see us win the Regular Season SEC.

I could be content with just making the Elite 8. Just too many variables.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around Bama as the preseason No. 1 in basketball. It's a strange new world.

My vote was "final four." We overachieved by making it last year and I never expected we'd sniff the championship game, but this year the talent/roster is different.

So although I think this team could win it all, I won't be disappointed if we don't. I mean, if we play well and hit a buzz saw in the tournament and get put out around the Elite Eight I wouldn't be disappointed either.

The Dance is hard to predict. Last year we got a great draw and that helped us make the FF run. Remember the draw AU got? I know they got put out early, but that bracket was murderer's row and they won the SEC tourney.

So, just play well, develop chemistry (which is probably our biggest challenge) and put yourself in a position for a late season run on the SEC and Dance and just hope CNO's MO pays off!

Same. Hopefully it saves me a few cardiologist visits, but it is sad, in a way, how much less invested I've become. I'll never not be a fan, but between the burgeoning dominance of the "business" aspect of "College Athletics" and having young kids, I don't "live and breathe" Alabama athletics like I once did.
