Who thinks we'll be undefeated now in the SEC?

We just beat the team everyone says that had the best shot at beating us. I still think the next two game will be almost as tough. Gimpy Dareus too is trouble enough. So who think we'll be undefeated once again in the SEC?

The real key will be if our offense realizes that we will be relying on them to impose their will on the opposing defenses. At Alabama, we've always been used to a strong defense being able to carry the team and not put as much pressure on the offense to carry the load. Now, we're facing just the opposite scenario. Our offense is going to have to be the one to step it up every game and score early and often, so that if we have a lapse here or there on defense it won't be as devastating. I predicted giving up 17 points to Arky, so our defense wasn't far off of my expectations. the problem is that I felt like our offense could score over 50 on the Arky D, and we made too many mistakes. One contributing factor, in my opinion, is that this team had never played from behind before. And the way that Arky scored so quickly may have bumped us out of our rhythm of how we like to start the game.

I feel a little better about our season. I thought the Hawgs had a prime shot at an upset because of the timing, location and game matchups. While Florida is uber talented, I like our chances. Sakerlina has some real talent at wideout so they are a threat. I don't see LSU beating us with their current level of ineptitude in offensive strategy. Auburn is getting better, and we'll need to limit the big plays made by Newton.

The unusual thing is we'll be depending on our offense to carry the D.

I have never predicted an undefeated season for Alabama, and I see no need to do it now. If you look at the 08, and 09 regular season results Alabama has been inconsistent in the way the team has performed at times, but the one constant has been winning! Rather it be blocking a field goal against Tennessee, or a game winning 4th quarter drive against Auburn this team has guts. Yesterdays game confirms that! I'll never predict an undefeated season, but I believe in Alabama.

If we can get by Florida next week then I think we will go undefeated. South Carolina did not impress me yesterday against Auburn, but they do get a bye before us. It will be fun to watch.

USCe still scares me more than florida anytime you give Spurrier and extra week to do nothing but prepare for you it's dangerous and we are headed to their house ..it's going to be a scary game. If we do get through this stretch I believe we will get to the Iron Bowl undefeated.

The difference in the game yesterday was the team that has "been there, done that" won, and the "new kids on the block" were a little skiddish. Remember this. Every SEC team has their best game against Bama, always have. If Arky played Ga. like they played Bama yesterday, they would have beat them by 50 points.
