Have you driven 40 from Memphis to Little Rock ? 2 lanes for 125 miles, choked with big trucks and relatively few exits. Accidents can clog traffic for hours.
I used to make that trip damn near every weekend.

And the fact they literally NEVER seem to finish the highway right there are Forrest City has always amused me. It was one-lane in 1993 when I moved there, and it was one-lane last time I went through there in 2017.

And every time in between.

Also - that putz with the yellow and blue crop duster........

Has Dumberville voted Yes for anything? According to folks on Reddit, you can't even call his office and leave a message because there is no voicemail setup. Is this how he is going to be for the next 6 years, ducking and hiding from everyone, and just voting however Trump tells him?

What a scumbag but, of course we knew that from his time at Auburn.

Tubby was for the barner at Defense and the Director of National Intelligence. He and Shelby have been in lockstep on every vote.

With Mike Lee being OK with a gay Transportation Secretary, that leaves Josh Hawley to be the only one to oppose every cabinet vote.

Six Republican senators — Susan Collins, Mitt Romney, Dan Sullivan, Shelley Moore Capito, Lisa Murkowski and Rob Portman — joined Democrats in voting to approve the nomination of Mayorkas. Pat Toomey didn’t vote. (Wonder where he was today. He also missed the vote on Pete).

I think this is the first negative vote by someone other than a Republican.

Murkowski got some goodies for AK into the bill and then voted "no." I believe she was a covert shelf "yes" vote, if necessary. The other AK senator's leaving for his FIL's funeral made it possible for her to cover her ass. She doesn't have a lot to lose, anyway, with Trump's vowing to tour AK to campaign against her. After all, she's already been primaried and elected as an independent. She really had not much to lose, even if she had voted "yes"...
